Maintenance; As this is a new-car trade, no service records come in the glovebox due to store's 'privacy policy'. Take the ViN to your local Volvo store's Serv. Mgr. to run on his national service data base for any recall service performed or available in data history. Winter package includes the headlamp wiper feature that never works on this model. No mechanical repairs were noted from the test-drive. Our local Volvo specialist shop recommends budgeting $50-100 per model year of age, towards service on any used car. Any maintenance/repairs available through my local tech before delivery at wholesale pricing; buyer agrees to hire his own afterwards without exception.
Please do not 'appear', as I have a day job and a weekend one too!(Friday noon thru Mon noon) No temp. tags available-use VIN to obtain one from your home state. Any inspection-related maintenance or repairs are at optional cost for any state's inspection.
INSPECTION items; Not available for Ma. registration without 'pre-inspection' performed prior to purchase. Brakes stop smoothly as tested to 50 mph(rotors and pads not measured for depth) Vehicle is en route and has not yet arrived.. My local third-party tech available to measure pad and rotor depth and under-car items, plus oil change, filter and fluid top-off as a 'pre-trip' inspection for $70. Some states like Michigan and Florida have no state inspection for emissions or safety, and others like California are rigorous. Therefore, plan to have your tech prepare for your individual state's inspection criteria.
Title info; All cars bought through our local auction have had an internal 'carchek' report performed. This checks for mileage history verification, guarantee of no outstanding liens and for check for previous title brands such as flood, prior theft or reconstruction. Fixits: For inspection, horn and wipers work, windshield clear, e-brake tight. Sides and tops may have usual light clearcoat scratches attendant with a vehicle of the era. Few dings, many bumper scuffs 'n scrapes, small dent on RF corner where hood and FR fender meet on car. Has little wear on driver's seat side bolster. No rust problems, exceptional body overall. Transmission shifts in all gears but more abrubtly at times, which is common for this 'one-year-only' unit. (worth it for big gas-savings!)
Most trades due for regular maintenance interval and oil change.
