Vehicle Detail
Not a restoration! Very original body, paint, glass, lights and engine! The engine number reads #19653. Original British Racing Green paint and restored black interior. A gift to the Blind Center from the prestigious Sunbelt Classic Car Museum—which sports the largest collection of classic convertibles in the world—and has been in their possession for the last 13 years in a clean showcase environment. This classic’s odometer reads only 756 miles. It’s a right-hand drive with new tires and a new soft top. Includes side curtains and vent windows. When the TC made its debut in 1945, it ushered in a new love of sports cars that would bloom in the 1950's. American servicemen, particularly those returning from England, took a liking to these roadsters and brought back quite a few when they came home. The TC was the first postwar MG, launched in 1945. Exactly 10,000 were produced, from September 1945 (chassis number TC0251) to Nov. 1949 (chassis number TC10252). Amazing, historical car. 100% of proceeds of this sale go to 501(c)(3) Blind Center of Nevada. Portions of this purchase may be tax deductible, (please consult your tax advisor for advice). To learn more about our charity and its mission, please google The Blind Center of Nevada. Please contact Jason Potter, Senior Sales Manager at 702-540-4348 with any questions. Please note: this car is in amazing original condition though there are a few nicks in the paint (some close up pictures available below). Please note that one of the vent windows is partially cracked and missing one clip. Shipping is paid for by buyer or it may be picked up. Willing to sell to overseas purchasers but shipping will need to be planned and purchased by buyer and buyer will be responsible for any import taxes/fees and it is your responsibility to determine if the car may be registered in your country. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur during shipping. On Oct-09-12 at 11:12:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Let us start off by saying that we are grateful for the bids we have already received! We have had a lot of interest in this wonderful car and have had a lot of knowledgeable people provide information about MGs. We are not experts on cars let alone classic ones like this beauty. We have received some information that has shown that some of the car has been restored including the engine. We have received the Chassis number and have pictures which we can email anyone upon request. The number is TC/ 4883. Thank you for understanding and keep watching! All proceeds go to our charity, The Blind Center of Nevada; very exciting auction! Don't miss out on this great opportunity!
