Vehicle Detail

I am relisting this car again because of a 2nd non paying bidder. Do not bid if you don't have any money or if you can't afford the shipping cost. I am offering this 1965 Chevrolet SS convertible project car for sale to the highest bidder. I have owned it for 15 or twenty years and have some Camaros that I want to restore, so I don't have a need for this car any longer. This is a pretty solid car other than the floors as shown in the pictures. I can answer any questions or send additional pictures if needed. The car retains its original 12 bolt Posi that I think is a 3:36 ratio. I sold the original Muncie wide ratio 4 speed to a friend of mine a few years ago for his GTO. When I bought the car, it had a 1959 283 in it that I sold on ebay several years ago. I think the tach has a 5,000 redline on it so it would have probably had a 300 horse 327 in it originally. The front clip isn't original to the car so the 327 emblems may not be correct. It has 14x6 wheels on it with pretty new tires but they have been on it for a few years. I have had the back seat stored inside since I bought it and I put it and the restorable bucket seats in the car today. The cars frame is good with no scale or rust holes that I have found. The original transmission crossmember and the clutch bellcrank are still in the car. The tach and gauges are in the car but the working condition is unknown to me. There is some fading on their faces. It has a power top that is in decent shape and should work fine but will need restored and new motor, hoses and the pistons will need rebuilt. The side glass is all there and does roll up and down and is original to the car. The small block exhaust manifolds are there and the left one is dated June 5th of '65 and probably is original to this car that was built June of '65 in the 4th week. The drivers bucket seat is from the passenger side and will need the seat tracks changed to a set of drivers side tracks. I have the tracks from the original drivers seat if they are useable. The lower rear cushion will need some repair work on the seat frame from rust damage. I can email pictures if requested. Ask any questions prior to placing a bid. I can hold the car in my fenced lot for up to 30 days after the auction close and full payment has been received. For longer storage please contact me to work out details. I will not be responsible for any problems with theft or vandalism after payment has been received. I will accept cash or a personel check for payment but the check must clear my bank before the car will be released. That can take up to 10 days or more. I put the car in my name and recently received the title from the state.
