1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Factory B Code 406 high performance 4 speed. The original 4 barrel carb was replaced with a tri-power set up.Motor is the correct 406 with the cross bolted mains, correct heads, and has the factory cast iron long tube headers. Intake and Carbs are factory Ford. Correct factory 4 Speed transmission that shifts great. Car is painted in it's original chestnut color and is in excellent condition. Interior is in great original condition with only one small spot on rear seat. Underside is in great condition. Purchased from Nascar Hall of Fame David Pearson. I've been told the Elliotts owned the car as well but I have no documentation. This is a rare car to begin with and then add the history and you have a very special car. I've had several offers in the mid-twenties so I'm going to offer the car at No Reserve starting at $20,000. In good economic times this car would bring 35 to 40k.
