Vehicle Detail
This a 1930 Model A 5 window that I have had for about 8 years. It has a unique paint scheme that I am told was one of the original color options--really stands out! I don't know how old the restoration is, but I would describe it as a very good amature frame off restoration. It came from an estate and I do not know the owner or who did the restoration. All steel except the rear fenders, which are fiberglass. It is VERY dependable and starts instantly. No smoke or oil useage. Has a little looseness in the steering, but cruises very nicely at 50mph. Will go 60, but I very rarely drive it that fast as I can't believe that could be good for it and it gets pretty noisy at that speed. This car looks perfect from across the street and very good at 10'. Closer inspection reveals some (to me) minor flaws. One rear fender is cracked and there is a paint blemish on the right rear of the cab. There is also some paint blistering starting on the front fender--probably surface rust under the paint. No other rust that I can see and no rust through apparent. Doors close nicely and the interior has been nicely re-done. Lights and horn work. Spedometer works. Thermometer in the radiator cap works. Brakes are good and the radiator has been cleaned and re-built. It has a 6v alternator and the distributor has been modified to take modern points and condensor. It has a leakless water pump. I have taken several first place trophys in the local 4th of July parade and it was featured on a fund raiser calender for the local Childrens Museum in 2004. I am not very knowledgable about these cars, so it would be good if you could look at it, or have someone look at it for you. Shoot me an e-mail with any questions and I will do my best to answer them. It really is a good solid car and I have had zero problems with it. I can get it to Interstate 80 in Rock Springs or Rawlins for $100. You will have to arange for shipping. THIS VEHICLE IS LISTED FOR SALE LOCALY ANDMAY BE REMOVED FOR LOCAL PURCHASE AT ANY TIME BEFORE THE RESERVE IS MET>On Sep-17-12 at 16:52:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Message to the people e-mailing me with questions: I am working out of town until Friday, 9-21 and my computer will not let me answer e-mails for some reason. I will certainly take PayPal payments. Now that the reserve is met, the "buy it now" went away (I did not know it would do that), which means I will have to let the auction run it's course. I may see if my wife can answer your questions from our home computer, or you may call me at 307-349-2486 between 7am and 9pm. Thanks for all the interest.
