Vehicle Detail
.Let’s try this again. Re-listing due to previous auction winner having a change of heart. 1968 Chrysler Imperial convertible. Low production. 440/Torqueflite. Very rough. This car had not moved in about 27 years. The rear window was out at that time, and the car was covered by a tarp. Over the years the rest of the top has partially disintegrated, and the car has been open to the elements. It was my dad’s car; he has passed away and as executor of the estate I need to sell it. DON’T ASK about ending listing early; I have to let the auction run to the end to satisfy heirs that the final price reflects all willing buyers. I was going to keep this car and restore it myself for sentimental reasons, but after uncovering it and moving it to my home in PA I realized that I've just got too many projects and this is a little beyond my means. I drove it a bit as a young man in the early '80's and it was a very, very nice car to drive, and even then was quite the eye-catcher. If you're looking for a big but rewarding project this may be for you. If not that, it may be worthwhile as a parts car. Either way, I need to get it out of my driveway. ASSUME THE WORST and you won’t be disappointed. It is strictly as-is, where-is. See pictures. If you have any questions please feel free to email. Title to MD or PA resident isn’t a problem; ask your state DMV what sort of paperwork they need when buying from the estate of a deceased out-of-state owner. To repeat: ASSUME THE WORST. As is, where is. Car is located between Harrisburg and Lancaster, PA, about an hour north of Baltimore, MD. Payment (in full) within 7 days; removal within 14 days of auction end. You'll need a rollback or a trailer. On Sep-14-12 at 08:04:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Please be sure to see question and answer below pictures. Also, door latch mechanisms are frozen. Drivers frozen shut, passenger frozen open. They may free up with a liberal application of Kroil or similar solvent.
