This auction is for a 1926 Model T Ford Runabout. This appears to be a very good original car that has had just one repaint many years ago. I don't think it has ever been taken completely apart. All original sheet metal - body, fenders, splash aprons, running boards, etc. It starts easily and runs and drives well. Just as any stock Model T should. There are no bad noises in the engine, transmission or rear end. No excessive leaks. The radiator does not leak and seems to cool just fine. We just had the gas tank cleaned. The engine block has been replaced. The serial number dates it to July 1921. The transmission cover and 4-dip pan are both 1926 - 1927. I believe everything else on the car is correct. The top is an older replacement and is very nice. The upholstery is plain stretched vinyl and is not authentic, but it is comfortable and very serviceable. I believe the door panels and kick panels are original. There is some surface rust in the trunk, but no rot. There are two (2) spots of rust on the car and I have shown both of them in photos. They are on the lower side of the body where the trunk and body come together. The wood in the wheels seem tight and very good. The tires have lots of tread left but are starting to show small age cracks. It runs and drives well, but I would recommend a thorough mechanical inspection before touring.
