This 2 owner,ONLY CALIFORNIA car, ( i am the 3rd owner who recently purchased this from an estate sale for the purpose of reselling ) is in immaculate condition. This low mileage 560sl with 21, 644 drives like a dream. No mileage discrepancies from carfax. Thoroughly check out by a certified Mercedes Benz mechanic. All fluids have been changed and replaced including engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant and power steering fluid. Brake fluid checked out fine. Brand new Michelin Primacy mxv4 v rated tires just installed on brand new chrome rims. Subframe mounts and motor mounts checked out fine. The engine is quiet, the transmission shifts perfectly and it is super smooth at 100mph. All vehicle tags are with the vehicle. Doors, fenders, hood, trunk and bumpers have matching original vin numbers. This is a numbers matching car that has never been in an accident. The steering feels like new and is responsive and steady. A/C air conditioning blows cold and blows through the center vents. This sl passed smog with virtually zero emission. The under carriage including the exhaust system looks new. There are no leaks. The original spare tire with included tags is present. The doors do not squeak when opening and closing. The original paint is glossy with no noticeable door dings. The interior is nearly flawless and still smells of leather and newness. Dash and wood trim is perfect. The rear plastic window is nearly perfect. There is 5 or 6 areas where touch up paint was used for little chips, mainly the trunk where the hard top was removed. There are only two things this sl needs. The SRS aibag light is on. The module for the air bag needs to be swapped out. Typical for vehicles over 20 years old. The original Becker grand prix radio works but the volume switch does not. The antenna however fully works and retracts. This 1989 560sl is the pinnacle of the line that started in 1972. Only 8,500 or so of the vehicles were build in 1989. The 25 year anniversary is a little over a year away. The value is only going to go up.
