Vehicle Detail
With great reluctance I have decided to sell the best car I have ever owned. About this time last year I started my search for a Volkswagen Phaeton and finally found this one in November of last year in Indiana. Before I bought it, this Phaeton was owned by a gentleman who primarily used it for work. He was a sales executive so almost all the miles are expressway traveling. He always kept it in a garage and said it didn't get used much during the weekends. When I went to pick it up he told me the back seat had never been used and he couldn't remember the last time anyone was in the passenger seat. He maintained regular service at the Volkswagen dealership - timing belt service was done at 85k miles. Currently the car does not need anything, all systems work just as they should with the exception of the front left headlight which will flicker from time to time. It hasn't gotten any worse since I've owned the car but I'm sure that mechanism will need to be replaced if it starts to get worse. This car truly rides, drives and runs beautifully, it even still smells new inside. The exterior is shiny and only has a couple of minor scratches that don't show up in pictures. The reason I've decided to sell it is that my work situation has changed a little this year and where I was on the road a lot more and often driving with other co-workers, I am traveling much less and almost always by myself so I just don't have the need for all the room and luxury of this car. I put a set off Dulop Winter Sport tires on last December thinking I would invest in a set of summer tires possibly on a different set of wheels (the original wheels have some scuffs on them) but I haven't driven it enough in the past several months to make it worthwhile so the winter tires are still on. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Jim
