Vehicle Detail

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 M Code 351 4V with 3 Speed C4 Transmission with 3.25 Rear. Front and Rear Spoilers Window Louvers Chrome 5 Spoke Magnum 500 Wheels BFG White Letter Radials Power Steering Custom Red Paint Front Power Disc Purchased the car a year ago for $24,500 and have invested over $20,000 in this mustang project. Modding a 351C is the expensive route most builders take the cheap route and just toss in a 351W. Mustang is in great shape. Car was made to retain stock-like looks, but have plenty of hidden upgrades. Under the hood the car still looks like it retains the stock 351C. Car runs perfect and cruises on the interstate with no problem. The old 351C motor has been upgraded to about 500 HP with increased reliability. Engine has been driven about 800 miles since the rebuild. Transmission was also upgraded to handle in excess of 700 HP. No rust on body or underside. Body is straight. Wheels and tires are new. (Less than 1000 miles) Transmission shifts smooth and engine pulls like a train. Hidden behind the Front Magnum 500 wheels are light weight Wilwood slotted and cross-drilled brakes to get the car to stop with the extra power. Interior has new door panels, roof liner, shifter panels, dash pad, seats, and more. Paint is in good condition at least a 2 footer. I'm selling the car since I'm moving. The reserve is low and you won't find a stock Mach 1 in this condition at this price. Engine: (The engine was rebuilt for reliability and to handle extra power... and alot of it.) *800 miles ago. Has had 2 oil changes since the rebuild. 351C was rebuilt with a 408C Stroker kit. Stroker kit was the CHP Kit with all forged internals including Diamond Pistons for 10:5 compression. Kit is good for 800HP+. Block is a 4 bolt mains with main girdle. Block has a half fill for increased block strength. All ARP bolts Roller Cam Conversion w/Roller Rockers and Roller lifters (Crane Cams and Comp Cams parts only!! No cheap parts. No short cuts.) Street Performance Roller Cam with just enough lift and overlap for an aggressive muscle car sound. (2k to 6.5k band) Double Roller Timing Chain Priority Oil Conversion Kit. (Oil now dumps on the main bearings first!) Stock 351C motors dump oil from the top down which leads to bearing failure EVEN ON STOCK motors. Upgraded 24" brass radiator Moroso 7 qt. Baffled Oil Pan Heads: Original 4V heads were retained with the heads being Ported/Polished/Milled w/light weight valves/dual valve springs and light weight 1 piece stainless exhaust and intake valves. (DO NOT buy a 351C without new 1-piece valves or you have ticking time bomb.) Harland Sharp Roller Rocker Arms Comp Push Rods Transmission: FMX Iron paper weight transmission replaced with a race prepped C4 Transmission to handle in excess of 700 HP. (-60lbs) *Transmission replaced same time as motor. New Flex Plate Custom Torque Convertor matched with cam. Edelbrock Alum. Dual Plane Intake Quick Fuel Carb Alum. High Flow Water Pump MSD Perf. Distributor and Coil Pack Perf. Plug Wires Longtube Ceramic Headers Custom 2.5" Alum. Catback Exhaust Kit with Custom Mach 1 look exhaust tips. (Exhaust is also half heat wrapped.) Wildwood Dynalite Pro Series Front Brake Kit (-30 lbs) New Starter and battery New bumpers Interior: New Seats New Dash Pad New Door Panels New Roof Panel New center console pieces All lights work in gauges and gauges work with the exception of the clock. Car is 42 years old and has a few worn parts which is expected out of a car this age. There are two bad spots in the paint which can barely be seen along the rear passenger windows behind the trim. The rear wheel wells have the normal rust spot which can be seen in the trunk. Overall the car looks great.I have plenty of extra photos if requested. I also have all receipts. Car comes with 2 sets of keys. Car is being stored in Mt. Olive, IL in my parents garage. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Do not bid unless you have the money or pre-approved for the purchase. $500.00 deposit required within 48 hours of winning bid. Feel free to contact me with any questions. On Sep-04-12 at 05:29:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Engine was rebuilt due to the engine locking up due to Main Bearing failure due to oil starvation. (The chance you make every time you buy a STOCK 351C motor running with the weak internals and poor oiling system.) Engine was torn down, fully inspected, bored .30 over, half filled, all new forged internals, and oil bypass conversion added. Engine also has an ATI Harmonic Balancer. (This is another upgrade you DO NOT want to go cheap on for long engine life.)On Sep-05-12 at 17:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Car is also listed locally and auction could be ended early.
