Up for auction is a rare 1937 Dodge D5 2dr sedan. There were only 5,302 cars produced with this body style out of a total production of 300,000. The car is in pretty rough shape but there are a lot of good parts here or a solid start for a restoration. The frame is very solid with no rot that I could find and the majority of the body is good aside from the edge rot that can be seen in the photos. The engine turns over by hand and is full of oil and the clutch and transmission also appear to be in good shape. The story I got with the car is that it was running and driving 10-15 years ago before it was parked. The original owner had intended to restore the car but it ended up sitting in back of his garage until I purchased it from the estate. I just mounted 4 brand new tires with the tubes on the car so it is able to be rolled around. I do have both tail lights and a couple other parts that aren't pictured in the photos. The car has a clean PA title that was just transferred to my name two weeks ago so I am currently waiting for it to come back from the state. The wait time was about three weeks so I should have a copy in hand to do the transfer by the time the auction ends.
