Up for sale is my 1996 Mercury Cougar XR7 2 Door Sport Coupe. The Cougar is the Mercury twin to the Ford Thunderbird. This is a top-of-the-line Caliente Edition. It is loaded with options and equipped as follows: 3.8 Liter V6 Fuel Injected Engine Automatic Transmission with Overdrive Power Steering & Power Brakes Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Seat, & Trunk Release Cruise Control Tilt Steering Wheel Alloy Wheels Padded Roof AM/FM/Cassette Stereo COLD Air Conditioning Dual Airbags & Anti-Lock Brakes This Cougar is in very nice original condition. It is very clean in and out. It is not dented and is not rusted out like most cars you see this age. Paint is nice annd shiny yet. Interior is immaculate, not ripped, torn, or cracked. I have used it as my daily driver at my summer residence in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. I live here in the spring and summer months, and in the Carolinas during the winter. This has been a great car! It is smooth, powerful, and comfortable! Engine and transmission are strong. Has 87,000 actual miles, does not leak or burn oil. I have been getting about 23 to 24 MPG local driving, and 27 MPG highway, on 87 Unleaded Regular. Since I am heading back South in a few weeks, this has become an extra car that I would just like to sell before I go. This would make a great second car, or a great car for a student. I recently drove it on a 200 mile trip with no problems or issues. Tires are Goodyear Radials with deep tread, and has recently had new front bushings and alignment. All power features and accessories work on the car. I just looked up, and the private party sale Kelley Blue Book on this car with this mileage, features, and condition is approximately $4000. I don't want to pay to store the car this winter, and would like it sold before I move back South in a few weeks, so I am starting the bids at a low price, and selling at NO RESERVE!
