Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1968 dodge charger with a 318 engine and automatic transmission. The charger was factory blue with blue interior with a black vinyl top. The charger is originally equipped with bucket seats, center console, floor shifter, and turn signals in the hood. The charger was only recently taken out of storage after being stored for over 20 years. Charger is heavily optioned and would make a great daily driver as is. Charger runs very well and has recently had starter, water pump and freeze plugs replaced for reliability. This is a texas car and is rust free with all original panels except for the quarter panel in front of the rear driver tire which was only replaced because of a dent and the trunk pan which has been replaced but is only tacked in place. Charger is very straight for a vehicle of its age and has no rust issues anywhere, floor pans and quarters are solid. All body lines line up as they did when they were new. Charger has factory a/c which works when charged, has small leak out of one of the retro-fit valves which was installed to convert to r134a. Charger also has power steering and power windows which both work very well. All original chrome comes with the car, all of which is in great shape, car has almost every piece original which came with it. Steering wheel is in great shape and could easily be cleaned up to restored quality with little work. The charger would easily pass a state inspection and is currently tagged in texas. All lights, blinkers, horn, windshield wipers, gauges, and fold down headlights work well. All windows in good shape. Charger would be a very easy restoration as everything is intact and it would only need minimal body work, a fresh coat of paint, and some interior work to make show quality. The charger is all original and has build tag intact to show that everything presently on the car came on it factory. Have been planning on restoring the car but am currently only selling it to pay for tuition. Call Sam at 903-451-3800 if you have any questions. On Aug-19-12 at 21:10:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a link to more pictures and videos of the car driving: Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE http://rides.webshots.com/album/583278373doYzrD?start=0 I forgot to mention that on their is a misprint on the title to the charger. Its says 1938 instead of 1968. I called the DMV and they said I could have this corrected or it can be corrected when the title is transferred to the new purchaser.
