I purchased this 2005 Ford Crown Victoria for a Southern Missouri Police Department . I am currently a Police officer in the St Louis area, and spoke to the Chief about this car. He knew I was looking for one. I have six cars in my garage, mostly 95 and 96 Chevy Caprice/ Impala ss's but I thought I would try a Ford CV. I have been in law enforcement for 17 yrs and the Caprice and Crown Vic's are still the best police cars that were ever made. This car is a really nice 2005 Police interceptor, blue in color that was purchased from the MO State Highway Patrol with 52k miles. The chief told me they have maintained it very regularly. It was a DARE car and had a new transmission installed about one year ago. Everything works perfectly, the tires are in excellent shape. The A/C is cold and the heat it Hot. The car makes no weird noises and drives straight down the road, shift great, trans fluid look real good. Stops great, rides great, the front end is tight, the Cruise Control works, and gets approx 23 mph.Has 323 posi rear end. The lumbar still works in the driver side seat. The carpet looks good. The paint looks original and shinny. The dash has no holes from old equipment, and the steering wheel looks near perfect. The seats are in great shape and still feel firm. The spot light and ticket light both work. The speedometer dash lights, AM/FM radio lights and heater control lights all work at night. Things that I replaced in the last few months All new spark plugs and wires (boots), New main drive Belt and Belt tension with pulley, new idler pulley, new rear brakes, new fuel filter, newer battery and a new 4 cup holder center console. I'm sure other things I have forgot about. The car leaks no fluids and uses no oil. Starts up the first time every time and does no drain the battery after sitting for several weeks. The car has no dents except for a few (1 inch) small ones on the hood that are pictured. The Body is in excellent shape for a former patrol car only with a few minor scratches. Has no rust under the car. Looks real good and dry underneath it. This car has no old holes in trunk or roof. This car is in excellent shape for a old P71- I always wanted a 2004 or 2005 Crown Victoria Police Car because these two years were the best years built. It has the new rack and pinion steering and you can still work on these when in 2006 everything needs to be at the FORD dealer. I will drive this car everyday until sold, so mileage will go up just a few in the next week.
