Vehicle Detail
Please read everything before bidding, and ask all questions before bidding. 1986 Buick Grand National T-tops, easy restoration project. Clean title, clean Carfax, current registration tabs, originally a California car. Drives nice, runs strong and transmission shifts firm, no check engine light on, has 3.73 Richmond rear gears. I have owned this car over 8 years, its been sitting in a dry garage for the last 8 years. Driven about 75 miles in the last 8 years, 30 miles just the other day. Changed engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, and gear oil last week and drove it. Bought it for a project and I never got to it, and I just dont have the time. The car is in decent condition, its not a show car, but its not a rust bucket. It has a factory digital dash in now that I put in (to replace the ATR dash I removed) shows 46,934 miles but mileage is not correct for this car. The digital dash does not light up, I checked the wiring ok, Caspers can rebuild them. Paint has delamination, cracks, and fading, bumper fillers are cracking, looks ok as a driver, but could use a paint job. Interior is very decent, has some minor wear, needs a headliner (easy fix) Engine has a knocking noise at start up, but seems to quiet down when warmed up and driving, checked oil pressure with warm engine, 30psi at idle and 55psi 2000 rpm. And it has an exhaust leak, sounds like the left side header pipe, (typical) Has stock turbo and injectors, has a fuel pump hot wire kit. Has the typical surface rust these cars get on the under side of car. Has solid frame and floors, no rust bubbles seen in doors, rockers, 1/4 panels and fenders. Minor rust at T-top area driver side front inboard of seal, mostly to the trim that screws in (see pic) and in door jam, should be an easy fix. T-top's have air leaks, recommend replacing T-top seals and door seals. All 4 tires match, stock size and in very good condition approx 90%. Overall a solid project car, fix the engine knock and drive it. Do the rest little at a time. Car is being sold as-is , no warranty or guaranty expressed or implied Buyer must contact seller within 24 hours, deposit via Paypal of $500.00 immediately, payment in full within 7 days. Or it will be relisted. Prefer balance paid in cash or money wire transfer. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. Car is listed elsewhere, I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells before end of auction Note: mileage is an approximation, I removed a ATR GNX style dash that showed 060,127 miles on it, the GNX dash was installed the the early 90s ( have recipt to show it) so my best guess is approx 135,000 ish miles total. I have receipts that verify. I included a picture of the GNX dash that was removed to show mileage when I removed it in 2004, ( GNX dash dosnt come with car ) Note: The mileage in the report shows 157,xxx miles back in 2003, that is incorrect but I cant change it. The GNX dash that I took out showed 057,xxx miles on it back then (a zero in front of the 5, see pic of GNX dash) must have been a incorrect entry. Ask all questions before bidding or using the buy it now. Re-listed due to last buyer not asking his wife first.
