Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1957 W100 Dodge Power Wagon. I have had this truck for about 2 years and it is in great shape for its age! There were only 427 of these trucks made in 1957 with the V8 and 116" wheel base. This truck spent most or all of its life right here in Oakhurst, Ca and was just sold from one owner to the next until I found it. I live in a small town and had the truck parked in front of my towing business for a couple of months. A couple of local guys who knew the truck well came by and told me it did have a pick-up bed on it originally but got damaged in the woods while hauling fire wood (backed up into a tree?). It was sold and restored by a man who I know (he is the manager for the industrial center I rent from!). He repainted the truck, put the flatbed on, and rebuilt the motor! He sold it to another customer of mine. That guy drove it for a while and then parked it because he thought the carb needed rebuilding and it needed brakes. It sat for about four years until I bought it. I just got it running the other day off of a gas can and an electric fuel pump and it runs great! It was running off of an electric fuel pump but very little gas was coming out of the fuel line on top. So I think the fuel line is plugged and needs to be replaced or cleaned out. I will leave that project for the next person. The carburator works fine. The paint looks good but it does have scratches and chips. There was also some body work done with primer on the back of the cab on the drivers side. From the inside it looks like nothing happened? Not sure what happened there, but it doesn't look to bad to fix. There is also a 4" by 4" piece of paint missing on the top fender, just behind the headlight. The worst part of the truck is some rust-thru on the passenger floor. Someone used textured paint to protect the floor but it trapped moisture underneath instead. It also has the wrong wheels on it - the ones on it are military and there is one spare with a spare tire carrier that fits underneath the truck. The tires are weather cracked and should be replaced, but are ok for just driving on the ranch! The flatbed is bolted on and not welded which makes it really nice if you want to put a pick-up bed back on it. I can also remove the bed for you if you do not want it. The wood on the bed is no good and needs replacing. The frame of this truck is really clean - one of the best I've seen! The motor and engine compartment is also really clean. The seat foam is good, but it is tearing at the seams and needs to be fixed or recovered. The running boards are awesome and the doors are in great shape! All glass is there and in good shape, but the front windshield has a light wiper scratch. Headlights work, turn signals work, and heater motor even works! It drives & shifts well too! Still doesn't have brakes so I didn't drive it to fast. I have other trucks I am committed to so this one has to go. I also don't have the space for it (that's why it is in front of the shop instead of inside!). I hate to sell it because it is a nice truck and there are probably not many around in good condition. I hope it goes to a good home. The pictures were taken 3 days ago (my camera has the wrong date). Selling as is. I do have paperwork for it. Deposit of $500 due within 48 hrs of auction end! Payment due 7 days after auction end! Must be picked-up within 30 days! NO International buyers!!! Questions please call (559) 760-6835. Thanks for looking!
