Vehicle Detail
Excellent project car! This car has been in my wife's family since 1971. The car has been in storage for the last five years, and will need some TLC to get her driving again. The car ran well and was driven into storage, but now has a fuel leak from the bottom right hand side of the car (Corrodded fuel line). The right front tire has a slow leak, will need to be patched or replaced. The car was given to my wife by her father last year, but we do not have the time, space and money to restore the vehicle. Factory AC car but currently not hooked up. (drive belt removed) Engine turns over freely, fix the fuel line and she should start right up. Car is in an automotive storage facilty in Plainfield IL, can be viewed by appointment. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auctions ending and remaining balance due in 7 days.On Aug-15-12 at 15:19:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to the flood of emails I'm going to try and answer alot of the questions here. First...THERE IS NO BUY IT NOW FOR THIS VEHICLE SO DON'T ASK US TO END THE AUCTION EARLY. We will be letting the auction run it's course and the highest bidder who pays as outlined in the auction gets the car. If the deposit is not paid in 48 hours, the car will go to the next highest bidder at auctions close. If the balance is not paid within 7 days the car will go to the next highest bidder. I'm sorry but we just don't have time for the " Dreamers" and "Wannabes." As far as the condition of the frame rails and trunk, the frame rails have rust on the exterior of the rails, but I do not know to what extent, if it's superficial, etc. There is rust on the underside of the car in general, but I have not had the car on a lift to see how bad it is. This is my wife's car given to her by her father, and I only first laid eyes on the car a month ago. We will be setting up a few viewing appointments too see the car, the first to probably be this Saturday at the storage facilty. I will update this auction page soon when we know the hours the storage facility will be available to show the car. Thank you for your interest. On Aug-16-12 at 05:59:26 PDT, seller added the following information: We will be showing the car this Saturday the (18th) at the storage facility in Plainfield IL from 10:00am to 12:00pm for anyone who is interested in seeing the car. Email me if your interested and I will send you the information. On Aug-17-12 at 06:50:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: Under Product Details, the ad lists the engine as a 350 Cubic inch, which is an error. I used an ebay template and it automatically filled that info in for me. The engine is the original 400 Cubic inch, with the original auto transmission. On Aug-17-12 at 06:58:38 PDT, seller added the following information: The car will be available to be seen this Saturday the 18th at Munroe Storage in Plainfield IL between 10 am and 12 noon. The address is 24800 Caton Farm Rd, Plainfield IL 60544-0311. Theyre website is www.Munroestorage.com Theyre phone number is 815 436 7568. If you look at the map of the facility we are at W5...(West side, Fifth building). My cell number is 773-318-3473 if you have questions, please call and let me know if you will be coming, thanks. On Aug-20-12 at 15:14:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: We had several people look at the car this weekend, the general consensus is the floorboards and frame are ok, they have surface rust but are salvagable. The trunk pan has rust all the way through on the left hande side and will needto have the trunk pan replaced. I took some photos of the trunk, I'm maxed out on pictures for the auction, I can email photos of the trunk to anyone interested. Thanks
