PRICED IT LOW WANT TO SELL IT QUICK - NEEDS A HOME WHO CAN FIX IT'S OVERHEATING PROBLEM! Got this in November for husband to drive through the winter to work and now he is driving his reg vehicle. This was more of an extra ca/winter beater now, though he often drove it because of the MPG... but as we don't have mechanical ability to fix we want to sell it to someone who can . This car has been getting about 28 mpg on the highway and overall drives well. It is not in perfect condition but this is definitely a car worth fixing if someone has the ability. The Mileage is 184,323 -- it was 167K when we got the car in November- the trip to work is over an hour and a half drive each way (Columbia Station to Perry Ohio). The only real issue that we know of right now is it is it overheated and we don't know how to fix and can't afford repairs on an extra car - so if you are mechanical and understand BMW this could be a great deal. ( We have had people suggest blocked radiator, needs water pump etc but we really have no clue except if it runs it seems to overheat so it has stayed parked so we don't damage engine - AAA towed it home and it's been here since.) We are only used the basic mechanics on the American cars so have parked the car, we are assuming it would need towed/pulled for repairs, it starts and runs but will overheat. The car does have a "rebuilt/salvage" title )FULL TITLE ALL CLEAR AND READY TO TRANSFER and inspected before we got it) and was apparently in some sort of accident involving the passenger side and some of the front end -before we got it, and according to last owner before he got it? - do not know exactly what happened only that can tell work was done. Someone did the repair work which was either minimal or just done well or both- however the paint job isn't great isn't great but it is silver and not rusty (spray marks show). There is a ding in the front bumper (see picture) still but it isn't affecting the driving so we weren't worried about it. Passed E-check with no issues - check engine light is NOT on, occasionally it shows a brake light warning or airbag warning which then goes off - but nothing that interferes with operation or passing e-check. This car does have all the nice BMW features inside: heated leather seats and steering wheel that work, aftermarket radio with CD, moon roof , leather interior, cruise was working but stopped - may be a fuse but we haven't looked, Air does not work, hasn't since we got it. This is an automatic. It is the larger 4 door BMW-The 528i. I have looked up values for the car and it varies but in "fair" condition with these miles it ranges $4,300 to $3,500 and I have already lowered to take into consideration it's history and that it needs repair- mostly because we don't know all the details about this car as we bought it as a "winter beater" in November of 2011.
