Vehicle Detail

I have a nice 1971 Ford F100 with a built 390 big block for sale. I have owned this truck for a long time, it was the first vehicle I ever purchased. Well I will start off with the good. 390 big block, bored 30 over with edlebrock cam, edlebrock intake, edlebrock carb ( basically any aftermarket part made for the Ford FE motor it has), heads are from a 428 and are shaved, ported, and polished 10k of an inch, high pressure 6an fuel lines, I also have a MSD Pro Billet distributer to go with the truck ( took out because the MSD ignition box went bad MSD 6AL), the truck now has a ford racing dual points distributer, roller rockers and arms, heaters with high temp heat wrap, electric fans, motor has less than 3000 miles since built and put in truck. This motor has a lot of horsepower and a ton of torque which is what these motors are known for. I think the build sheet which I need to find included a dyno at over 600 FTLB of torque and around 500HP. Linked to this truck is a Ford 3 speed with floor shift. Used to be a column shift truck but now has a tach in its place. Custom made drive shaft, and Ford 9" rear end with 325 gears. All wheel bearing are new and all brakes and system works good. The steering is tight and handles Decent with upgrades energy suspension bushings, still a little body roll in hard turns. But this truck wasn't made for running in the mountains so not to worry. It was made for cruising. Body is strait and has nice XLT trim package(which was the best you could get in 1971) of which all the trim is in excellent shape. The paint is original from my understanding, interior is all original except for Grant steering wheel, cd player, floor shifter, CB and PA. The truck also has true dual exhaust with no cats (not required) 40 series flowmasters with chrome tips exiting the side of the cab before the rear tires like old Nascar racecars (truck sounds amazing). The truck also has a nice set of Ford 5x5.5 mag wheels. Now for the bad . . . The truck has been sitting for a while because I was gone. I did drain all the fuel systems before hand and when I got back I removed the wrap on the carb put some fresh fuel and she fired right up with no problems. The red top optima has gone bad from sitting but I do have a battery so you can hear her run. I did drive it to make sure everything was fine and the only things I saw were the tires are no good. Dry rot on all 4, still actually has the original bias ply spare under the bed. The paint has faded and has a few spots that are flaking kind of, maybe a few tiny surface rust spots?? Over all not bad and an easy start to putting paint on it. Would look nice buffed but I think painting would be best in this case because it is such a nice truck. Dash pad is cracked, carpet is torn, and seatIs torn on drivers side but are all easily avaliable through LMC trucks. I went to start the other day and the main fuel line is leaking, just needs a rubber o-ring but I will probably fix that when I get time. So to re-sum up it's needs to be a nice truck ( these trucks are selling for over 20k in this shape once finished). Dash pad, factory seat cover, factory carpet, battery, new fuel line oring, fresh coat or paint, and to clean up the truck and re detail the motor( everything was nicely painted and detailed and I had a lead acid battery explode and corrode some of the finely painted surfaces like the water pump and accessories brackets) but that's easy stuff for someone with attention to detail, and it needs a set of tires. Cannot be driven on the tires it has, I tried a few weeks ago and one finally split from the dry rot. Also i had the boxes from my torque trust II wheels for our charger in the truck when it was at the dealership last and someone broke the driver side vent window to steal the wheels in the truck but the boxes were empty. But the truck is nice over all just needs a good pressure washing and cleaning up which is easy stuff. Also on the pictures the first one was a few months ago when I pressure washed it and it looked great, the other 3 are what it looks like right now. This truck will be worth over 20k with a few thousand dollars worth of stuff and some hours of work. Nada places value higher for this condition but I'm trying to just recoup half of what I have spent on this truck since it has been sitting outside and since everytime someone sees it thy want to buy it. I had an offer of 10k a year ago when it was sitting but I wasn't around didn't want to mess with it at the time. I would love to put this truck back on the road but if I do I still don't have enough room in my building to store it and I would rather see someone else enjoy it. I can also deliver with in a certain distance maybe up to 20 miles and $.50 a mile after that but I would require you to come out and pay half before delivery and half after I drop it off or something to that effect. Please make sure if you are intersted an can make an appointment to come look at the truck you do so. I fully explained everything it needs to the best of my abilities and no warranty expressed or implied. I have had this truck for a long time and know that this is all that it needs that I know of. The drivetrain in this truck is very solid and will make someone a bee nice truck. You can call, text me questions at (678)641-8397, I will call you back if I don't answer but you must leave a message. UPDATE******* Reserve has been removed the last auction went to $5500 but because it wouldn't let me remove the reserve for the price shown it didn't go higher! Happy Bidding and thank you for looking at my add. ALSO as not mentioned before I have a spare 3 speed for transmission that will be included in the sale. The tranny was bought for another project that has been finished and I no longer need a ford tranny. I am including $1000 worth of parts with this sale that includes a identical tranny that is in the truck, and a MSD pro Billit distributer. Thanks again!
