1973 FORD RANCHERO. Up for auction is a great looking and driving muscle truck. This Ranchero comes with a smooth running factory 429 cu.in. engine, it has an Edelbrock performer 460 aluminum intake, a Holley four barrel dual feed carb, Hooker Super Competition drop down headers and dual exhaust. It has an automatic transmission with power front disc brakes, this car feels very tight, it runs, handles and stops great (I was told that one of the previous owners was a Ford factory mechanic). The interior is in very good condition for the year. The driver seat is a split bench with separate fold down arm-rests, and has a working drivers' side six-way power adjustment. The car has a polished wood aftermarket Grant steering wheel with working horn. The gauges all work (the clock only works when you tap on it). The lights all work, as do the turn signals. The carpets are original and have some wear and fading, and the dash top does have some cracks, otherwise it is very nice inside. The a/c system has been converted to R134 and does work, but blows cool air..not ice cold. The body is very nice, all the hood, doors and tailgate shut-lines are very nice. The rims are chromed 15" Ford Magnum 500s....the original spare is the original 14" steel Ford Magnum 500 rally wheel. The rest of the chrome is original with normal expected wear, one of the previous owners has replaced the original grill with a 1974 grill (which I think looks much better than the original 1973 style grill). The paint looks nice, not show quality.....but a very nice car that you would be happy to be seen in and show friends, and enjoy weekend outings at the local car-hop shows/gatherings. The car is registered in California till Oct 2012.
