Vehicle Detail
For sale, 2004 Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Kompressor 6-speed NO RESERVE! About the car: I bought this car in December 2008 near Chicago. Had 52,000 miles on it when I got it, 81,610 as of this posting. It is still being driven about 10-15 miles per day, so actual mileage will be maybe 100-200 more than in the picture at the time of sale. I have had absolutely no problems with it, and it has been the best, most reliable car I've owned! It has had routine maintenance done, oil always changed regularly only with Mobil 1. Replaced front brakes *about* 5-7000 mi ago - new cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. Replaced rear shocks last fall. That's all that has worn out on it! Clutch still feels great, nice and firm - grabs nicely. Shifter is nice and smooth. 4-wheel alignment done last spring. Runs, rides and drives great! Always babied, washed and waxed often. It is a great looking car, and I receive compliments on it all the time! I love this car, but it's time for me to move up to something a little bigger, for a growing family! Still very shiny, with minimal swirling. I had the front bumper professionally repainted right after I bought it, only because it had quite a few rock chips/road rash. Still looks pretty good, however there is one spot in the paint on the front bumper that is cracked(see pictures) - I think some A-hole with a trailer hitch ball on his truck bumped into me in the parking lot at work. Hood has some small road rash on the front, but again very minimal, particularly for the age of the car. There is one small dent in the hood from a flying rock, but can only notice it in very particular light. Right rear door has one tiny door ding, again hardly noticeable unless light conditions are perfect. Other than that, the sheetmetal is blemish free, and the paint is well above average. Wheels/tires - I bought the summer wheels/tires in 2010. Wheels are still in brand new condition, as I avoid curbs and potholes like the plague! The winter tires were purchased in 2009 and are mounted on the factory 5 spoke Sport wheels, these wheels show their age, with a few paint chips, and a little curb rubbing, but they are still straight and balanced. They looked that way when I bought the car. But they are just fine for winter tires and still look good from a couple feet away! Both sets of tires have approx. 10,000 miles on them, so plenty of tread left on both sets. Interior - Again, in very good condition for the age. Seats - I somehow forgot that I had a screwdriver in my back pocket when I got in one day, and it tore into the perforated leather on the driver's seat. I had it professionally repaired, but you can still notice it if you're looking for it(see pictures). The rest of the seats still look like brand new. Carpet and headliner still looks like new. Factory floormats are still in very good shape. I've always had rubber floormats in it, so the *very* little wear on them was from the original owner. Mechanical - No issues Electrical - Aftermarket HID ballasts are sometimes a little quirky when it's cold out - the passenger side one takes two tries to start the bulb if it's really cold out. Can unplug and swap out with regular halogen bulbs if wanted. Rear sunshade sticks sometimes when trying to put it down, which may or may not matter to you - I never used it the whole time I've had the car. On the backup 2nd remote key, the lock button works sporadically, all else fine with it though - about $100 for a new one from the dealership. Car being sold as-is. $500 deposit will be required within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal. Remaining amount to be paid upon receipt of car. Title to be held until funds clear. Will deliver car 1/2 way up to 100 mile radius. If shipping is required, buyer to assume all costs, arrangements and liability. If subwoofer and amplifier is not wanted, $200 can be subtracted from the final amount, winning bidder please let me know. I think I've written everything down here! If you have any other specific questions, feel free to message me, I'll be checking my inbox regularly. Thanks!
