1990 BUICK REATTA FIRST YEAR FOR THE CONVERTIBLE!!! ..AND NOT RED!!! Second owner. Originally purchased in CA, lived short time in AZ, finally settled on the beaches of Tampa Bay Florida in 2003. As of 04/17/2003, FL title paperwork indicates 49629 ACTUAL, original miles.... now shows just 60,022 or LESS THAN 2800 miles a year!!! Adult pampered, mechanically maintained, always garaged, a few character dings and dimples here & there but no accidents. Newer Goodyear tires with less than 2500 miles. New battery. New rebuilt ABS brake system. ( however, the mechanic who performed the brake rebuild says, the dash warning light has to be reset by a code that he doesnt have access to...so even tho the brakes work fine, the dash warning digital indicator light is on!) The A/C was upgraded to R134, and its just not real cold...but 'somewhat cool'. ALL electrical components were checked out and appear to be in good working order. the Passenger door lock hangs up once in a while and the power windows react pretty much like most Florida elderly people. . . s l o w . . The ORIGINAL leather bound Owners handbook is intact with the pen, penlight, tire guage and the VERY COOL, Reatta builders craftsman signature 'LOG'! A recent mechanical inspection as the brakes were being rebuilt and the overall concensus says this 1990 Buick Reatta is in really nice unrestored condition. It runs excellent, drives better than some newer cars, handles like a dream and cruises the beaches in total 'pleasant ride' style. . . AND there were only 2,132 REATTA CONVERTIBLES EVER BUILT & THIS ONE IS MAUI BLUE METALLIC and NOT your typical RED!!!! (we've been TOLD... there were just 112 MAUI BLUE FIRST YEAR Reatta convertibles built for 1990... if true, this is a pretty rare color combo!) The brite white leather interior is relatively clean for a 22 year old unrestored ORIGINAL car, no holes, no tears. The leather is a little dry, could probably use a good cleaning and a good leather preservative applied. Nice, 'low-pile' almost velour like carpeting, and a new white convertible top (2007). Dual control 6 WAY power bucket seats, heated power outside mirrors, automatic climate control, 8 speaker stereo system, and featured locking storage compartments recessed into the rear deck behind the seats as well as a large pass-thru door between the passenger compartment and the large trunk, making this car an unusually practical two seater!!! NOTEWORTHY: This MAUI BLUE 1990 Reatta Convertible is NOT a perfect, pristine show car, but it really is much nicer than most 22 year old Reattas! It shows a few parking lot 'idiot-dings' ..a small minor dent front driver door area where something fell off the wall in the garage and dented it...ugh. Fairly nice shiny MAUI BLUE paint with a few flaws, ie: light car wash buffer scratches but nothing serious, the factory white PAINTED pin striping has rubbed off in a couple places... nevertheless, this Reatta never fails turns heads wherever it goes! Another noteworthy note: this is NOT my car. Altho I may sound like a Reatta salesman, I am not. I am a friend of the 2nd owner family whom the husband has taken ill and are selling the car to pay medical bills. I will answer all questions as best I can. I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. I am a BUICK kinda guy, just NOT a Reatta officianado... I can only relay what I've been told. UNDERSTAND and be WARNED: . .. THIS is an unrestored 22 year old vehicle, and mechanical issues can arrise that quite possibly, have not appeared at the time of the inspection! Please, keep that in mind. I am NOT a huge eBayer, but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold and I intend to keep that status!
