Vehicle Detail

1970 AMC AMX #22014 390 4spd "GO" pack White W/Red Cstripe Matching #'s CA car I bought this car in 1976 with about 70,000 miles on it. I rebuilt the motor in the late 70's with plans of restoring it for the past 36 years. Realizing now that that is not going to happen, I would like to sell it to someone that will restore it. The car has the 390 CID with the Borg Warner t-10 4 speed manual transmission and the 411 posi-track rear end. It has power front disc brakes and maual steering. The original carbuerator has been replaced with a Carter 625 AFB. The car has headers, but I have also kept the original exsaust manifolds. The front bumper will need to be staightened and the AMX grill needs repair and replacement of the front drivers side turn lens. The drivers side headlight trim is missing. Replacement fenders have been installed, but have not been welded at the lower rocker panel. I have an extra wiring harness, rear lights, foot brake assembly, rear fender extensions and rear side turn signals. The car has been in California for most of its life and has very little rust. The rear quarter panel on the passenger side has rusted through in two quarter size spots. Other than that it apears that the other rust is just on the surface. I have a replacement door for the passenger side. The original has a dent that was pulled out with a puller. The hood, with its operational scoop (not sure if the acuater still works), is a little bent over on the front corner, but OK other than that. The rear section of the car is all straight. The interior carpet, some trim and dash overlay have been removed. I have most of the interior trim parts, but not the wood grain overlayfor the dash and glove box. I have a NIB carpet kit for the car. The car has the original "RIM BOW" sports steering wheel. the plastic is cracked and the horn mechanism is missing. The seats were reupholstered in the 80's and are now faded. The motor has not been run in at least 15 years and should be gone through before running. The water pump, alternater and housing have been removed. I have a new water pump housing. The gas tank has been repaired and restored and the sending unit has been rebuilt. It also has the original magnum rims. The car needs to be tranported on a flat bed. The new owner will be responsible for all shipping details. A $500.00 deposit will be due at the close of auction and the balance will be due within 7 days of auction close. I prefer PayPal but will also accept a cashiers check. Please email me with any questions.
