Up for auction is my blue '92 Metro vert. I own two of these and decided I really only need one. This car was originally from a salt free southern state and hasn't spent a whole lot of time in Minnesota so it's in really solid shape underneath. I did get some pics of the underside when it was up on a hoist for maintainence earlier this year. NO floorboard or rocker rust through, front suspension supports are very solid as well. Exhaust is in good shape with no leaks. The engine starts and runs great with no odd noises or leaks. The 5-speed transmission shifts great through all the gears. Clutch was brand new this spring and works perfect. Tires were new last year. Previous owner had the convertible top replaced so it's about three years old now but still looks new. I keep my verts parked in the garage so the tops rarely ever see sunlight. The interior is all complete and in good clean condition. The paint is in decent shape and still shines really well. The body isn't perfect by any means but still looks good going down the road. It has its share of minor dings and light surface scratches, typical of a car this age. The original hood had been replaced by previous owner with another blue hood from a '91 Metro. This hood has a number of small hail dents and paint blistering on the leading edge (see photos). I guess it was better looking then the basketball dented original. As for the rest of the car, none of the imperfections really show up in the photos and for the most part aren't all that noticable in person. I'm just stating it like it is. Not a perfect show car but still pretty darn nice. Good solid chassis stucture that goes down the road really well! These convertibles with the 5 speed will get between 35 to 45 MPG depending on driving condtions. Some people claim they get even better but I can never drive that nice long enough to find out!
