This is a real 1970 442 but is NOT a W-30. the fenders were drilled for the W-30 emblems. I got the car in March this year, i have documents that show the guy i got it from got it in 1981. This car was painted 15 years ago but never finished. They welded in patches and filled over them. they did not replace the quarters. There is some filler in this car. The bottom side of the car is very solid. They did not take the body off when they painted it. The body mount areas look very solid. It has the original TH400 transmission in the car and it comes with the original 455 engine and it ran when removed but needed rebuilt. The engine that is in the car is a 455 with big valve C heads. the carburetor on this engine is a 7040251 but the car comes with the original 442 automatic carburetor (7040257). also has the correct distributor (1111982) and W Z exhaust manifolds. trim tag is ST 70 34487LAN327124 TR 942 45 G PNT 12C. Aspen Green, sport steering wheel, deluxe seat belts. car originally a bench seat car but converted to buckets. Has a factory OEM Rally Pack and everything works on it except the clock. The car will run and drive but needs some work to be road worthy. Will need a major tune up and brake work. The power disc brakes do work and stops the car but they need redone. I have most all the trim to go back on the car including the vinyl top trim and also will include a black console. I only have the driver side sport mirror and it is not painted to match the car. The rear end is an SH code 3.42 anti-spin (posi track) and still has the boxed control arms and sway bar. I am including a link to my photobucket with many more pictures. The paint looks nice but it does have a couple small scratches that i didn't see till i was hand washing it. Over all it would make a beautiful driver and great for local car shows when finished. i will see if i can get a couple close ups of the scratches and post them on my photobucket. On Jul-23-12 at 14:20:46 PDT, seller added the following information: i just noticed that i do not have pictures of some of the interior trim that goes with the car. i have the A pillar covers, headliner trim, and sun visors that is all green. there is also a new green carpet in the box. i have not taken the carpet out to look at it but it is included with the car.
