Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE You’re looking at a 1920 Ford roadster pickup built in the early '70s. A true surviving hot rod, a very high quality build. Fiberglass body, but titled as a 1920 Ford. Very few changes made since the original build. It has always been stored inside, covered. The odometer reads 1217 but I do not know the actual mileage. It has lots of real brass which is very hard to find today. Brass radiator, Model T style headlights, Model T style taillights, windshield frame, steering column plate, fire wall. The radiator has two very, very small dings. Some of the brass could be refinished to make it super shinny, but right now it’s got a nice light patina. Some of the pieces are showing slight wear, but I personally would not touch them. The black paint is in nice shape. Very, very cool ‘70s style flames. The interior and gas tank holding space cover are done in maroon English leather which is in good shape, with matching wool carpet. It’s got a great psychedelic finish on the dash. It has a “T” wood steering wheel with chrome center spokes and a brass/rubber ahooga horn, chrome steering column and chrome Genie short shifter with safety neutral switch. Custom steel boxed frame, pin-striped. Four bar suspension with a straight suicide front axle, all chrome or polished aluminum. Jaguar rear suspension, all chromed except for the center section (painted). Polished aluminum hubs, chromed drive shaft and axle shafts. It has disc brakes all the way around (4 wheels), which are all chromed or polished. The front wheels are spindle-mounted chrome cycle. The rear wheels are Chromed Borrani Triple Laced wires. They are knock-off spline wheels. No lug nuts, front or rear. The wheel socket comes with the car. The engine is a 1989 small block Chevy 305 roller cam engine with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock 650 CFM carburetor with an electric choke. Freshly tuned up. The motor runs great. The transmission is a turbo 350 with low stall that shifts nice. It has an HEI distributor, billet valve covers, new water pump and a new mini HT chrome starter. New from Bill’s Hot Rod: alternator bracket, aluminum pulleys and a chrome alternator. It has a Rewarder header/exhaust system which is silver ceramic coated with removable mufflers. Brass Works custom radiator with an electric fan housed inside. Brass coolant recovery tank. The wiring was re-done in 2001 (looks new). Electric fuel pump, braided fuel lines tank to carburetor, built-in battery charger/tender, 12-volt with fuse panel, steel fuel tank 12+ gallon tank and enos turn signal control for the rear lights. If you wanted to build one of these, you’d have more than twice my reserve price.
