Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is a 97 Suzuki lt 160...I have had this for about 4 years and bought it as a starter quad and rode it just for fun but now it is time for me to let it go since I have moved up and found something a little more faster...A couple of years ago I did have the front sprocket, chain, back brakes,& rear swingarm all replaced and would say that the parts are in great condition due to the fact that I have only ridden the quad about 5 times in the open since the parts were replaced and again the quad was not abused....The back brakes are still in very good shape and front brakes might need adjusted but still have plenty of pad left....I do have one pair (L or R side) of brakes brand new in packaging and I have another pair (L or R side) slightly used, which was brand new to give to winning bidder....It does smoke on initial start up but does not after it warms up...The tires on the quad are original and the front right side does have a leak which I will investigate and will try to fix before the time ends on auction....Does have a ball trailer hitch on back, and on the body it does have a blue shell on the front and green shell on the back (which was that way when i bought it) which has a little gouge on the left side of the body which you will see in the picture but the shells do not have any cracks or anything broken off and it does have your normal wear & tear on it.....Also the red plastic piece that is on top of the shifter to put in reverse broke in half on me and just haven't had the time to put a new one on...It can still be pulled into and pushed out of reverse....There is no tears in the seat and the quad overall is very tight....One thing it will need first off is an oil/filter change....If there is any questions that you may have, don't hesitate to ask !!!!Thank you for looking & Happy Bidding :) I do have the front cover that fits over the battery and a new battery was installed....Also the rims were painted black as they were original factory grey and some of the factory paint had come off and was rusty as well, so I had painted them black...front left will need touched up On Jul-20-12 at 22:07:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Up for bids is a 97 Suzuki lt 160...I have had this for about 4 years and bought it as a starter quad and rode it just for fun but now it is time for me to let it go since I have moved up and found something a little more faster...A couple of years ago I did have the front & rear sprocket, chain, back brakes,& rear swingarm all replaced and would say that the parts are in great condition due to the fact that I have only ridden the quad about 5 times in the open since the parts were replaced and again the quad was not abused....The back brakes are still in very good shape and front brakes might need adjusted but still have plenty of pad left....I do have one pair (L or R side) of brakes brand new in packaging and I have another pair (L or R side) slightly used, which was brand new to give to winning bidder....It does smoke on initial start up but does not after it warms up...The tires on the quad are original and the front right side does have a leak which I will investigate and will try to fix before the time ends on auction....Does have a ball trailer hitch on back, and on the body it does have a blue shell on the front and green shell on the back (which was that way when i bought it) which has a little gouge on the left side of the body which you will see in the picture but the shells do not have any cracks or anything broken off and it does have your normal wear & tear on it.....Also the red plastic piece that is on top of the shifter to put in reverse broke in half on me and just haven't had the time to put a new one on...It can still be pulled into and pushed out of reverse....There is no tears in the seat and the quad overall is very tight....One thing it will need first off is an oil/filter change....If there is any questions that you may have, don't hesitate to ask !!!!Thank you for looking & Happy Bidding :) I do have the front cover that fits over the battery and a new battery was installed....Also the rims were painted black as they were original factory grey and some of the factory paint had come off and was rusty as well, so I had painted them black...front left will need touched upOn Jul-24-12 at 15:20:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Update on the leak on the front tire.....The metal piece inside the valve stem came a little loose and making the tire go flat but I tightened it down again and it holds air just fine :)On Jul-25-12 at 18:24:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a video that I just took today (which I should have done this sooner) but hope you get to see better of the quad...... I know I put "again" when I said it holds air in the tire but that only happened once....I just wanted to clarify that it's not an ongoing thing.... But hopefully the youtube link should work :) http://youtu.be/cQmwiJdjhC4
