Vehicle Detail
This car looks a lot like a 911 and gets lots of compliments. Body is in better than average condition for its age. The car drives and brakes perfectly straight. Very sweet to take on a winding road. Handling is tight and the suspension firm with no annoying rattles. Engine is very strong and still in its prime, the car is a joy to drive. Interior is clean and in good condition. Car was pampered and garaged for the 2 years that I owned it. Have close to $20,000 in the car, but am willing to sell for a fraction of that. Storage, insurance and maintenance costs are just too much for a car driven just twice a month. As much as I love my Porsche, all good things must come to an end, and I am selling. Pros: Brand NEW $2000 + soft top, 6 speed manual, factory aero spoilers, articulated rear spoiler, memory adjustable seats with lumbar, K&N intake, 18" wheels, leather seats, center windstop, remote alarm, recent maintenance. Paint is in good shape, only minor imperfections. Many options including Litronic headlights with washers. Ice cold air! Cons: Kansas rebuilt title. Don't be scared off by the word "salvage" on the title. Anyone who has had dealings with a Porsche knows that parts are expensive, and it takes very little damage before an insurance company will total one. This one suffered only cosmetic damage which appears to have been repaired expertly. Minor problems: Alpine radio plays on left side only, may need replaced? Lock on center console compartment non-functional. Ashtray door on console stays open. Drivers side seat adjustment knob is broken. Minor chips on hood, small scrape bottom of passenger side rear bumper. Small imperfection on rear deck under spoiler. Have gone over the car thoroughly and to the best of my knowledge everything else works great. Many options not listed. See photos. Have all reciepts since purchased. Porsche is notorious for having hard to decipher option codes. Options info is correct as far as I know, but I am no authority and not 100% certain. Please use the pictures as the final word for what options are present. Car is sold as is. I will be happy to answer any questions or send more pictures if needed. On Jul-27-12 at 11:40:47 PDT, seller added the following information:Reserve is well below buy it now price. This car would easily sell for $15,000-16,000 if not for salvage title. Have no details on what damage car had. It was repaired when added to dealer inventory before I purchased it. Appears to be not the original hood, and all skirting looks pretty new. Car drives firmer and tighter than my 2010 WRX. No lane drift, no vibrations. Very stiff suspension, think it is the optional sport package. Brake wear light comes on intermittently, but calipers look fine. Only a minor annoyance not a problem. Dealer said no worries. Also intermittent check engine light, code for bank 2 O2 sensor out of range. Dealer said not to worry until sensor actually goes bad. Front tires michelin, some weathering and 2-4K miles left. Back are hankook and are newer. On Jul-27-12 at 11:44:02 PDT, seller added the following information:Reserve is well below buy it now price.
