Vehicle Detail
This is an unusual opportunity to restore one of the rarest and most distinctive cars from the Golden Age of American automotive history! Economic conditions force me, very reluctantly, to part with this beauty, in the hope that a fellow lover of these great cars may resurrect it to its former glory. All chrome has been removed and all holes welded, as well as all seams. I have installed a V6 from a 1983 Chevy S10 pickup. The rear end is from a 1984 Camaro; the front end is from a 1983 Ford Ranger pickup. I do not have driveshaft. The motor ran very good with no smoke when I removed it from the pickup. All the window molding is with the car, as are a set of seats. I saved all interior door panels for patterns. All the wheels are new deep dish crome 14" front and 15" rear. I also have front and rear bumpers. The car needs a little more body work. The frame is clean, strong, and rust-free. There was a hole in the floor on the passenger side, which has been repaired. There are no rust spots other than on the lip where rubber goes around lower side of the trunk lid (an easy fix). I have all windows; however, the windshield is cracked, one rear side vent window has a crack, and driver's door glass is bad. Rear glass and all other is in good shape. I will include, at no extra cost: A 1949 Nash Ambassador 2-door sedan suitable as a parts car (dashboard, driveshaft, seats, steering column, and many other parts are interchangeable with the 4-door) The official 1949 Nash Technical Service Manual The Motor Interchangeable Parts 1938-1954 Handbook A collection of useful publications from The Nash Car Club of America Several surprise bonuses
