1966 Ford Mustang 200 ci, straight six, 3 speed manual transmission. Only 46,000 original miles. This car runs and drives! It has a clear title. Needs to be restored and would make a great project car. Please call or text 314-941-0907 if you are interested in viewing the car before the auction ends.Body It obviously needs new paint. The former owner sprayed the car with silver paint. The car was originally white. This car has your typical mustang rust so it will need new trunk pans. The former owner cut sheet metal for the floor pans but the floor pans were not welded as he used pop rivets. This will eventually need to be replaced but works for now. Overall, the exterior body is in good shape with very little signs of rust. The frame rails and leaf springs have rust. This car will eventually need new tires as the tires are showing signs of dry rot.Interior The interior is in fair condition but showing its 46 year old age. The front seats have a few rips so they will need to be reupholstered. The back seat is in good condition. Glass is all good and intact. Dash has a rip in the corner. The lights and gauges work. The carpet was removed so this will need to be replaced. According to the former owner, the 46k miles are original. Mechanical The car starts every time and does not overheat or leak oil. I installed a new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel line and rebuilt the carburetor recently. The exhaust manifold may need to be replaced soon. You’re welcome to have the car inspected by a competent shop or trusted mechanic before bidding if you have any concerns at all. The engine sits and idles at a steady temperature.
