1988 MAZDA RX-7 TURBO-II NO RESERVE! Hi, my name is Alex. I would like to tell you a little bit about my car that I have for sale here on eBay. I myself first purchased this car about 3 years ago here on eBay. The car has been driven on and off over that span of time due to the fact that I have many other cars. This is a toy for me and I have had many RX-7 previously, they have always bee good to me. But due to a project that I am about to start I am now putting this RX-7 back up on eBay to find it a new home. Because of that the exterior paint is the original and still shines as you can see from the pictures. The exterior has every single light in proper operating condition. The popup headlight mechanisms work quickly and as they should with no weird noises or play as well. The body is in amazing shape with absolutly no dents or dings. I still double park the car or park far away from everyone whenever I am driving it since I want to keep the body in this shape actually. Old unmolested cars deserve to be further preserved. This car has a clean title and has never been in any type of accident. All Vin tags and stickers are present on all panels. The interior is all original as well with no cracks anywhere on the dash or the door panels. All of the AC vents are still in one piece and not broken like they usually are in most of these cars. The headliner is tight and does not sag. And the seats do not have any rips or tears anywhere on them. The seats are still firm and tight. The carpet has no rips or tears in the hatch or in the seating area. In the interior everything works as it should. There are no broken switches or dials anywhere. One issue that I have noticed is that the factory original radio has no memory anymore. Often times when you shut the car off and then turn it back on it will be in a different radio station then where it was prior to shutting off. This only occurs sometimes and other then that, when you set it on the station you want, it works and sounds fine. The power antenna still operates and goes up and down properly. The Logicon climate control panel still oporates as it should. The windshield wipers front and rear oporate as they should as well. The defrosters front and rear work as they should. The AC is no longer blowing cold now but the fan is working and blowing. But since the AC use to work when the car was first prchased Im guessing the system lost its charge from lack of use. All AC equipment is present under the engine bay. Mechanicaly the engine is sound and has plenty of power. The Turbo is still very healthy as it comes onto boost quickly and adds an awesome surge of power to the Rotary engine. If you have never driven a Turbo Rotary engine then you really should. They are very amazing little engines with big engine power! This engine does NOT overheat. It has started every single time without fail and has never flooded. The drivetrain components have all been properly maintained and you can tell. The car actually just received an oil change as well so it is ready to go. The LSD (Limited Slip Differential) is tight and in proper working order. When the car is jacked up and one of the rear drive wheels is turned the opposing drive wheel turns in the same direction imidiatly and with no slip. Nice! The 5 speed transmission is great and the shifters in these cars have a bolt action type feel to them which I really enjoy. The clutch is in proper working order and has no clutch slip. Clutch pedal pressure is nice and firm and the pedal actuates freely. The Braking and Supension system is tight and working as it should. All four corners of the cars braking system has plenty of rotor life and pad life. This was checked a few weeks ago when I did the cars oil change. The brake pedal is firm and has plenty of pressure. All four brake lines were also inspected at the time of the oil change and they are all fine with no cracking or damage visible. The suspension is nice and tight and the steering rack has no play. There is no play in the steering wheel. The power steering pump operates smoothly and without noise or binding as it should. That is all that I can think of to say about the car at this time.
