Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 5-DAY AUCTION !!!! NO RESERVE AUCTION !!!!! HIGHEST BIDDER WINS!!! For those of you that saw the first auction (that deal did not go through), since then I have installed a new battery (that is included with the car), put in $20 worth of premium gas, installed the ignition switch and bead blasted and painted the air cleaners, got the car running, and it runs great. You’re looking at a 1970 MGB GT Coupe. It is an original California car. I was given the original blue plates when I bought it. It was originally mineral blue and was repainted British Racing Green about 20-25 years ago. It looks like it was a nice paint job at that time. It has never been wrecked. The floor pans are really nice, no rust. It has all the original body parts, i.e., doors, hood, deck lid, fenders, etc. It looks to be the original drive train with a non-overdrive transmission. Believe it or not, all the original California smog equipment is still intact and working. The odometer reads 32,165, but I do not know what the actual mileage is. All the glass is good. The windows roll up and down really well. The doors and hood open and close really well. No rust (zero) in the trunk floor. The original tools are in the bag. The carpet in the passenger compartment is in pretty good shape. The rear storage carpet is worn out. The seats do need to be reupholstered or you could throw some sheep skin covers on them. The dash pad has cracks, but there is a cloth dash protector pad on top. The headliner is intact, but has some stains and is detached in an area right above the driver’s window. The car has been sitting since 2001. I emptied the fuel tank, put fresh gas in it, checked the electric fuel pump (it looked brand new), put a battery in it, and it fired right up. The motor sounded great. No knocks, no noises, no smoke. Great oil pressure. Keep in mind it's been sitting since 2001, so it's going to need a tune up, oil change, brake work, etc. For loading and transporting purposes, the brakes are up on the car and the emergency brake works. It will need a clutch slave cylinder. Also included with the car are the original California blue license plates, repair manuals and the brake and slave cylinder cover. To sum it up, this is a nice original project that is reasonably priced. I buffed up the paint, painted the wheels, pulled the seats out, cleaned the interior and put the seats back in. It’s a great project. I got a good deal on it, so you're going to get a good deal on it. Highest bidder wins! It's a 5-day, no reserve auction. Bid early! Don’t miss out! Keep in mind if you are on the east coast, it will be up to $1,500 to transport the car. If you need more information (a walk around description) or more specific pictures, you can email me or call me, Mike, at (760) 519-3478. ***IF YOU ARE THE WINNING BIDDER, PLEASE CONTACT ME BY PHONE OR EMAIL WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION. IF YOU DO NOT, I WILL ASSUME YOU ARE NOT GOING THROUGH WITH THE DEAL**** If you are an overseas buyer, I have a truck and trailer and can transport the car to a shipper in Long Beach for $250. If you are in the US and need an interstate transporter, a reliable one I have done business with is Tom Reid at Hanover Transport. You can call or email him for a quote. 1-888-919-1677 or email: tom@hanovertransport.com. This vehicle is being sold as is with no implied warranty. Payment is to be paid in full within 7 business days of the end of the auction and pickup within 20 days of the end of the auction unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
