Vehicle Detail
This is my 1928 Model A Hot Rod. Built by me in 1994-1998. It is NOT a rat rod. Built to be safe, fast and fun and it has been all of those things. Everything works. This car has been driven to shows and events all over the SouthEast, including. Street Rod Nationals in Knoxville KY. Hot Rod Power Tour. Somernights in Somerset KY. Corvette Museum Bowling green KY. NASA facility in Cape Canaveral FL etc etc. So you can see that it is not a trailer queen or built from junk, rat rod. Here are some details, but please ask questions 1928 Sedan body was chopped 4" in the early 1970's (I helped) 350 Chevrolet 010 casting 4 bolt main block is .040 over with flat top pistons. RV style hyd cam (low end torque and slight bump) .194 X .150 valve heads Aluminum Intake and Edelbrock carb Cal Custom sytle valve covers and air filter cover Speedway headers with Flowmaster exhaust. (all the way to the rear of the car) Turbo 350 with shift kit. Car has less than 20000 miles on it and the engine and trans were both rebuilt when installed. No junk yard engine here! Vega cross steer. Has Chevrolet Chevelle 10 bolt rear with 300 (highway) gears. Front axle is Speedway with 49-54 Chev car spindles and Chevelle disc brakes and Speedway hair pins Dual master cyl is under the floor Chris Alston 4 link rear with coil over shocks (adjustable) This is a fun and easy car to drive. It has no strange habits like some Hot Rods do. You are welcome to come drive the car or have it checked by anyone that you like. I will assist in shipment to anywhere in the world. Please look close at the interior of this car. Again.....not a rat rod. It is a 50's style Hot Rod There is no title to this car but I will provide you with a bill of sale. I know there are some locations that require titles on cars this old but GA does not. I will assist in anyway but you are buying it with no title. Not interested in trades (thank you) the reserve is 12000.00 and if you are interested in a buy in now price, please let me know. This car is for sale. I have had to think long and hard to make this decision but I am serious, please make sure that you are as well. THANKS On Jul-08-12 at 14:11:43 PDT, seller added the following information:Thanks for the questions. Yes all the gauges work, including the gas gage. Yes the 3rd brake light works. No the 1928 Georgia plate does not come with the car, unless previously discussed and agreed on. It is registered with that plate in GA and is insured. Paint is not primer. It is gloss black with a flatening agent added. It is not perfect, but as you can see it looks good. Pin stripes are real paint, not stickers. Headlights are BLC with after market top lights. THANKS MarkOn Jul-09-12 at 16:22:28 PDT, seller added the following information: The carpet is the loop style like would be in a 50S car. It is in perfect shape. The whole car was insulated before the interior or carpet went in. Yes there are seat belts in the front and rear. The fronts retract. No there is no heater. It does have an AC condensing coil built into the radiator but there is no AC on the car. The radiator is a Walker copper and barss unit. The electric fan runs on a thermostat that cycles it off and on as needed. There is a crack in the drivers side glass. All other glass is perfect and has all the proper seals. The windshild does fold out (open) The door locks work and it comes with 2 sets of keys. When Ford built these cars they had the key on the pass side so that you were forced to be a gentelman and open the pass side first. That is OK but I changed all the door locks to ones form a Right Hand Drive car, so now the lock is on the drivers door. I hope this covered all of your questions but if not please let me know. THANKS MarkOn Jul-10-12 at 05:39:32 PDT, seller added the following information: This auction has 95 watchers and over 1500 page views. I have had several good offers and am thinking about accepting one of them. If you are planning to bid at the last second, please let me know. I would not want to accept an offer and then get hate mail from people that were planning to bidOn Jul-10-12 at 15:44:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes the wiper works and yes it has been driven in the rain. It runs well at highway speeds. Thanks for asking
