Vehicle Detail

Clean little 1972 Triumph TR6 very rust free car, It is the early models that have the most power and the later they got the slower they were with 1976 being the slowest. I am surprised how many people don't know this, it is the early models that are the most sought after. Every thing is correct on this car for it's year, it has the right seats the right TR6 emblems on the back etc, I see cars on ebay that have the wrong seats the wrong emblems wrong wheels etc RUNS GREAT AND HANDLES GREAT! really does GREAT TRANSMISSION SHIFTS NICE AND SMOOTH CLUTCH WORKS GREAT this was replace at some point REBUILT ENGINE NEW WIRING HARNESS GREAT COMPRESSION 130 - 135 NEW MAGNA FLOW EXHAUST SYSTEM, just installed sound great! It personifies that wonderful Triumph sound NEW MASTER CYLINDER NEW BRAKE BOOSTER NEW HEATER CONTROL VALVE NEW STARTER GREAT SUSPENSION NEW TIRES NEW BEAUTY RINGS NEW CENTER CAPS NEW DASH PAD NEW BURL WOOD DASH NEW CRASH PADS NEW DOOR PANELS NEW DOOR PULLS NEW BRITISH WOOD STEERING WHEEL NEW CARPET NEW CHROME GAS CAP The story with this car is that I bought this car from an older guy in Sacramento. He had bought the car from a woman who's husband had a collection of classic cars mostly British and this was one if his cars. He passed away and so his wife sold all the cars off. She did not bother with finding any of the paper work that went with this car, So I don't know the miles that are on the engine rebuild, but the odometer says 2000 or so, it probably has 102,000 miles on the car. The car is a nice signal red that has some chips here and there, it's not perfect but as you can see it looks pretty good, it's nice and straight and has a real nice shine. It draws attention no matter what. It's not too loud but it's loud enough so that people are looking to see what that is! This car is really quite surprising in the way it handles, it's very tight and handles very well. I really like this car but I need some property so it has to go, so here it is for you! thanks! I am going to ad some pictures tomorrow On Jul-09-12 at 18:45:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Also there are a couple of pictures of the back excels that have new bolts, so It looks like these could have been replaced. There is probably a lot of work that has been done on the car that I just don't know about . The guy that I bought it from didn't have it for very long, he said that he had a triumph when he was younger, but now that he is older he just doesn't have the interest in the car that he thought he would and his wife didn't like riding in a convertible. This is a really nice driving car that looks like it has had some money spent on it for sure. It doesn't smoke even when it's been sitting for a while. I think that who ever buys this car will be happy with it, It's a clean California car that is also fun to drive and runs great get it before it's gone! 069-1 On Jul-11-12 at 20:38:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I am adding information about the paint on the tr6. The paint is pretty good but has or I should say had some chips, but also there is some kind of water spotting on the hood and trunk that i did not mention because i was planning on having it buffed out this week which is what I did today, my painter said at first he could buff them out no problem and then on further examination told me it would need to sanded. I was not prepared for this, but I am going ahead with his recomendation and having the hood and trunk lid painted. Jay, my painter has painted about 4 cars for me in the past and he is very good. Below is a picture of his barn. All the corvettes and the elcamino are his which he did body off restorations on all of them. He is meticulouse beyond belief and even restores juke boxes which are beautiful and they all work. even his house is imaculate. One day I asked him who does his house work and he told me he did does it. He has painted 2 other tr6's for me and 2 mgb's and the Riviera there in the barn is also mine, it's on ebay now for sale if you want to see it. So the paint on the tr6 is going to be looking very nice. most of the chips were on the sides of the hood and so those will be gone. He said he will try and have the car ready for me on Saturday and if he does I will post some more pictures of it so you can see it. But he was impressed with how and straight the car is. And it has a ton of power and flys along at 80 mpg no problem with a lot more to go, my mechanic was also with how well it runs. if your looking for a good car all the way around this is it. thanks
