Vehicle Detail
1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE in amazing condition. One owner car picked off the lot in 1970. Been garaged its' entire life (other than the 6 weeks I've had it). My Mother's Uncle purchased this car in Texas brand new and had it up until the day he passed away a few months ago. The car was registered in Utah in 1980 and that's the title I possess.. I also possess the original bill of sale from 1970 which is shown in the pictures (will be included with the car). Exterior and interior are in incredible shape.. no rust that I can see and near perfect interior. Carpet and seats are in near mint condition. The car was repainted once in it's lifetime. There is some hard water/oxidation on the side panels that needs to be buffed out. This car does need minor electrical work and other things need replacing/fixing. The car is 42 years old so these things are expected. Here are all the problems with the car that I'm aware of: Tires, belts, and hoses need replacing. One of the hoses is bad enough to where coolant is leaking. As far as electrical goes: There is a short in the turning signal wiring.. When the headlights are turned on the rear left turning signal is stuck on and the front left turning signal does not work at all. When the headlights are off the front left turning signal works but the rear left does not. Right front and rear turning signals work fine. Also the gauge lights aren't working so you can't see anything at night. The stereo is original but is not currently working. The odometer/speedometer does not work and needs to be replaced or fixed (goes in and out of working). The odometer is stuck at around 67,000 miles and so the true mileage of the car is unknown. All of the power windows work but they are slow to roll back up.. the passenger window rolls down but won't roll back up unless you plug one of the other window circuits into it. The A/C Compressor is no longer in the car so if you want air conditioning you'd have to buy a new one. ($240 refurbished online) The brakes have just started to squeal a bit as well. I've been driving this car everyday for about 6 weeks and it drives great. Just has these small but tedious problems that need attending to. The only problem I've had as far as driving the car goes is the leaking coolant. When it gets low the car starts to overheat which is easily remedied by adding more coolant. ..Also there may be a vacuum leak of some sort.. I've randomly lost power a few times while driving. This car will be sold as is. NO RETURNS. NO REFUNDS. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and/or pickup. THANKS!! SCAMMERS/PHISHERS BEWARE. YOU WILL BE REPORTED.
