Up for bidding is a very rare nice 1960 Mercedes-Benz 190 Ponton. The Ponton is a very nice classic car in fairly good cosmetic and mechanic condition. The car is absolute solid and shows only tiny spots of surface rust in areas like the spare tire molding and underneath the bumpers. All body panels are straight and there are no signs of any body damage. The paint looks very nice from 3 foot away, but if you take a real close look you can see some fading here and there. There are a lot of people who would describe this car as absolutely beautiful, but I rather describe it as it really is. The interior looks nice and shows just normal signs of wear and tear. The previous owner installed some new seat covers which still look very nice without any holes or tears. Mechanically the car is very sound. We installed a new master brake cylinder and flushed the brake fluid. We also checked the complete brake system and everything including the emergency brake works properly like it should. We changed the thermostat and the radiator cap and flushed and renewed the coolant fluid. The Ponton got a new rebuilt carburetor and we tuned up the engine so that it runs properly. The motor starts right up without hesitation and runs pretty smooth. The tranny is easy to operate with its 4 speed column shifter. All gears fall into place without hesitation. Overall the car is in great condition considering its age and is absolute solid. No rust through spots at all! I tried to describe the car as good and honest as possible.
