Here is a 1990 Ford Mustang 25th Aniversary LX 5.0 Coupe. I ordered this car for a specific purpose back in late 1989 and that was to get the lightest and quickest LX I could to cruise the Dallas Tx Forest @ Midway street scene back in the early 90’s. I have owned it the whole time; it has never been in the rain and spent all of its time in the garage. Right now it has 3746 miles on it. It is one of two mustangs built this way (the other one was silver) in 1990 according to Ford. It has only one option and that is the vinyl seating option and on top of that it has several delete options. It has Factory Radio Delete, it has roll up windows, no power door locks, no power mirrors and non-cruise control steering wheel, no AC which when deleted adds a very rare pulley arrangement only seen on factory AC delete cars. This is probably the most unusual 5.0 from the 90’s anywhere and with very low miles. I have the original window sticker and the very rare original build sheet I found under the jack in the trunk when I took delivery right off the transporter. It has the original engine, transmission and rear end. It has the 2000 mile original GoodYear Gator Backs and the original 10 holes. There really is too much to list about this car but I will give it a try. It the early 90’s I raced it a few times in the Factory Stock/Trophy Stock type Fun Ford/NMRA classes. This was back when you could actually race a relatively stock street mustang and be competitive. The intakes have been port matched to what was legal at the time and a CL 73 MAS and throttle body, the heads have a custom valve job and were “cleaned” up again to be legal at the time. The valve train has 1.72 roller rockers and stock cam. It has Hooker Headers with H pipe and custom mufflers that disconnect over the axle for easy disconnect to run dumps. It has a short through shifter and 3.73 gears with aluminum diff cover with bearing supports, AVO adjustable rear shocks, Global West lower control arms and Steeda urethane bushings. It has race pullies, aluminum drive shaft and, a smog pump eliminator kit. Most of the rest of the car is stock. I have most all of the original parts that I will include in the sale. Back in the late 90’s to early 2000's in NMRA Factory Stock it ran and 11:90’s @ 112mph and today it runs and drive perfect and would likely run in that range still with drag radials. On the Gator Backs it is quite a handful. Then the rules changed and required a cage and other things I was not willing to do this car. No subframe connectors or any subframe damage ever. The paint and interior are excellent especially for a 22 year old car. I think by the pictures you can tell the shape the car is in. So here is the small amount of bad news. Back in 2000 a board in the garage fell over and hit the hood and front fenders of the car. This dented the hood and both top fenders a bit. It was a sad day. It’s been sitting in the garage ever since with just a dart around the block now and then to keep it running right. I have decided to sell it because other priorities have finally risen above keeping it. Please ask any questions because I am sure I have left out quite a bit of detail about the car. You really couldn't find a more unusual and low mileage 90's LX to restore anywhere.
