Mazda Miata 1992 Black & Tan Special Edition Pristine! Rare and beautiful black and tan first generation Miata. Although Mazda didn't label it as one, the car is considered by many to be a special edition for model year 1992. Options that came on this edition include a tan top and tan leather seats, Nardi shift knob (new, with original included in the box) and emergency brake handle, BBS wheels, cruise control, power windows, power antenna and headrest speakers. This car does have the optional limited slip differential from the factory. It is in phenomenal condition, especially considering the year. The wheels are near perfect, with no road rash. Shiny black paint with a few flaws which are really not noticeable unless pointed out close up (Rock chips on the hood, a touch-up on the top of the driver's rear quarter panel). The interior is very nice. No odors. The seats have been re-dyed and aren't perfect, but still nice for the age of this car. The top of the driver's seat matches, but could use a recovering at some point even though it doesn't look like it unless you're close up. Brand new factory floor mats. The top is pristine, including the plastic window. Has the original tan top cover (boot) which is like new. Has both factory keys and the factory manuals. The car drives perfect, with no shakes, rattles or pulling on the highway. The air conditioning is ice cold. The motor sounds perfect. New NGK wires and plugs. Fresh air and fuel filter. Oil change less than 200 miles ago. I replaced the rubber coolant plug on the back of the head last week. No leaks and no weird noises whatsoever. I replaced the factory door speakers with 6.5" Alpines since the foam in the factory cones had deteriorated and turned to dust some time ago. Gets 30+mpg on the highway. This car is in excellent condition and can be driven anywhere. Has the original (unused) spare, center hub tool, jack and lug wrench. Clean carfax that I can email upon request. No warning lights, everything works, needs nothing. I am driving the car occasionally, so the miles could be slightly higher by the end of the auction. Deposit The successful high bidder of an online ad will submit a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 2 calendar days (48 hours) of the close of the auction/ad to secure the vehicle. This may be paid via PayPal unless other arrangements are made. Payment of Balance Due The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due including applicable fees and taxes within 5 days of the close of online auction/ad unless otherwise agreed to by seller. Payment Methods Preferred method of payment is certified bank check, bank wire transfers or third-party financing. All funds must be in US Dollars only. Cash is acceptable with pre-notification so that large transactions can occur during banking hours. Please be aware that any cash amounts over $10,000.00 will include the completion of IRS form 8300.It is a simple form & basically for reporting purposes only. Financing as Method of Payment When seeking pre-approval for an auto loan please remember that some lenders only work with franchise dealers. Elite Motorcar, LLC is licensed as an Independent Dealer. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 7 years or with more than 100,000 miles. Make sure, then, if financing, that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of the vehicle before bidding. Again, please arrange financing before bidding. If you win an auction you herein agree to subject yourselves to these terms and, therefore, if you cannot arrange financing your deposit will be held by Elite Motorcar, LLC to help cover costs involved in the auction/ad. (Under some circumstances, with prior agreement, the deposit may be applied towards a future purchase of a vehicle from Elite Motorcar, LLC.) General Terms We reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early at any time should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment and delivery at that time. Terms of Deposit and Payment of Balance Due outlined herein apply. If we have not received contact within 24 hours of auction end we reserve the right to further advertise the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. This vehicle is also being offered for sale outside of eBay and should a sale agreement be made we reserve the right to withdraw or end the auction in accord with eBay rules and regulations. For example, No Reserve auctions may not be ended during the last 12 hours except to end it during that time and sell to the high bidder. Inspections A third-party inspection is highly recommended to avoid any misunderstandings. We have made an earnest effort to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. We aim to only carry quality pre-owned vehicles, however, please know that any and all pre-owned vehicles will have typical scratches, nicks, or dings inherent for its year, and mechanical parts are subject to fail. Some vehicles have required paintwork (i.e. bumpers, mirrors, etc) to improve quality. All such work that we may have done is by professionals and of high quality. If you would like to arrange an inspection, please contact us before auction end or before a purchase commitment and we will do our best to coordinate with you to make the vehicle available for your arranged inspection. Buyer / bidder is responsible for payment of the inspection. If upon personal and/or authorized professional inspection of the purchased vehicle at our facility, buyer finds a substantial discrepancy between the published report and actual vehicle, we will correct the problem at no charge, work out a compromise, or refund all monies paid. Buyer will not be responsible for any eBay related fees and will be dismissed from any contractual obligation with eBay to purchase the vehicle. This is if the inspection proves vastly different from published ad. Returns are allowed in the event the vehicle is shipped and you are dissatisfied. However, a 10% (of purchase price) restocking fee applies. The return must take place within 7 days from receipt and the vehicle must have under 250 miles difference upon return. Return shipping fees are the obligation of the buyer. Shipping Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We are happy to assist in arranging shipping as a value added service only. When these units are purchased from the dealer-only auctions as trade-ins or lease turn-ins they may not have some accessories which you may feel should be included. Such items include things like books & manuals, extra keys, remotes, headphones (for entertainment packages), tools, cargo nets, floor mats, CD cartridges, wheel lock keys, etc. Items as these (or others you may think of) are not automatically included or provided by us. To avoid paying tax to FL and AR or MS we should make the delivery to you out-of-state by a transporter. We must retain the shipping Bill of Lading as evidence of the out-of-state delivery. Exporting: If you are purchasing a vehicle which will be exported overseas we can only release the vehicle to you via a transporter / shipper as the vehicle may not be operated on Florida roads with a temporary tag unless sales tax has been collected. On Jul-02-12 at 13:42:15 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to numerous questions about the timing belt, please be aware that I do not have a receipt showing that the belt has been replaced, however, I believe it has based on the following reasons: 1. The belt does not say Gates Powerdrive on it, which I believe all 90-95 original belts do. 2. It does say Unitta and has the correct Mazda part number on it, which matches the belts that Mazda sells as OEM replacements. 3. The belt shows absolutely no cracking or fraying. 4. The belt is tight and not stretched. 5. The valve cover has obviously been off before based on the marks on the bolts and further based on the non-OEM gasket sealant used when it was installed. That sealant was applied all the way around the top of the rear cam mount, which is not done at the factory. 6. All of the other bolts I can see that need to be removed to do the job have marks on them, indicating that they have been removed previously, including the four bolts around the crank pulley. 7. The accessory drive belts are all marked "Gates" and "Made in the USA". It is my understanding that the factory drive belts did not have those markings and had a Mazda part number on them, which these do not. Again, I do not have a receipt for the change, nor was I present to see it done, so I can not guarantee that it has been changed, however, based on the above coupled with my own personal observations of the belt, it appears that is has. At the same time, I replaced the breather hose since it had a split in it. I also took a picture of the engine bay with the refinished valve cover that I will add to the auction later today. I drove the car for about 15 miles and re-inspected the gasket. All dry, no leaks.
