Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a MGB that was purchased new in the Spring of 1966 from British Motor Cars in Seattle. The license plate and frame showing BMC is the original plate for the car. The car was driven on a daily basis from the Spring of 1966 until December 1969. It was then placed in storage from December 1969 to January 1973 when it was then used for weekend & fun trips. In 1979 it was stored in garage and only started and “exercised” periodically. The car was repainted in 1981 to restore the shine. There has never been any damage to the car and has 54192 actual miles. The car has always been stored inside a garage and not exposed to the elements. The spare tire is the original and the original tool kit is in the trunk. About eighteen months ago a mechanic serviced the car and had it running. In this process he purchased and installed a new battery. This is a really neat all original car that has never been damaged and is in good shape for someone that loves the MGB. The leather seats are original and condition can be determined from the pictures. There is one cut on the rear of the passenger seatback. The carpet covering the rear deck will need to be replaced as evidenced in the pictures. The top is in very good condition with the exception of one small cut, approximately 3/8" long that can be repaired easily. There is one small scratch in the paint on the passenger door. Please email with any questions or for a specific picture. This car belonged to my brother’s estate and as the Executor I am selling it for the Estate. I have a clear Texas title that will be transferred to the buyer upon payment. My brother had some other extra parts for the car that were stored in boxes and as soon as I have access to the boxes I will pass along any of these parts and pieces that I find. For instance, I understood that he had a new top for the car, original purchase papers, original sales brochures, and perhaps there is a tonneau cover for it as well, etc. but they are packed away and I am waiting for access to these boxes. TERMS: A $500 deposit must be made to my PayPal account within 24 hours after the auction ends and the balance paid through my PayPal account within seven (7) days. Buyer is responsible for all transportation costs to relocate of the vehicle. There is NO warranty either implied or in fact offered on this vehicle. Arrangements can be made for local pickup is available if desired. I have tried to accurately describe this vehicle for potential bidders. However, if anyone has a specific question I will do my best to answer promptly or take a picture of any specific item as requested. I am familiar with classic cars and to find one that is completely original and in this shape is unusal for sure and will make a great car for someone to enjoy. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Jun-28-12 at 15:30:24 PDT, seller added the following information: The title is a State of Washington title and I have it here in my safe.
