This Spitfire is in great shape, driving better than she looks. The burgundy red paint is the original color, with only minor touchups. This Triumph was owned by an older lady for several years, and was purchased from the original owner. During her ownership, the vehicle has received the best of care, as is such with the original owner. Upon our inspection, the vehicle has received new tires and a tune up. The odometer reading is circa 33k, but we do not have the documentation to verify such. However, based the fantastic original condition of the Spitfire, the mileage is believed to be original . Again, I must stress how well the engine and gearbox performs! I have owned several Spitfires and this one is the most impressive. Thus, if you are in the market for great looking and equaling performing classic that can be driven daily, then this is your Spitfire. All of the body lines are straight and even. The floor pan’s are solid and are without rust. The trunk pan is solid and rust free as well. The paint is very presentable, with only minor flaws acquired throughout the years. There are two small paint chips on the passenger side of the bonnet. The paint under the bonnet near the brake/clutch fluid, is faded. INTERIOR: The interior is original, excluding the shift knob. The carpets show use, and are presentable. The upper dash pad has a small crack. The driver’s seat has a small tear in the seam and is repairable. The passenger seat is in good condition. The convertible top is newer and in great shape, with all of the top’s windows being clear. MECHANICAL: This Spitfire is very reliable and she is a fantastic driver. The engine runs strong and the gearbox shifts smoothly through all of the gears. The brakes are in good working order and are an asset during spirited driving sessions. The running temperature is perfect and the vehicle idles smoothly. The exhaust sounds great and is solid as well. All of the gauges function as they should. All of the lights and turn signals work as well. SHIPPING & PAYMENT: A $1000 deposit via PayPal is due immediately after completion of the auction.
