1990 Dodge Caravan originally auto w/turbo, upgraded to larger turbo and 5spd. The Good: --repainted with auto paint (slate blue w/metallic specks) and clearcoat. silver pinstripe and chrysler's old "Turbo Intercooled" warning stickers on the front fenders. --bridgestone re960as pole position on the front. they're bloody expensive tires and the only things I've found that don't sublime into gas if I look at the gas pedal wrong. 215/65/r15, with warranties from discount tire. plenty of tread, nearly new. --rebuilt 2.5L engine w/12,000 miles. bored .030 over with mahle cast pistons. (to straighten walls, chose .030 due to these pistons being german instead of chinese) balance shafts removed, oil pump mount ported (it sounds silly, but its supposedly good for another hp or 2) and oil pickup enlarged. arp studs on head and mains. crank turned .010. polished head and 3 angle valve job on valves. polished anything I could get to on intake. ported exhaust manifold. --52pph injectors 40% larger than stock, they've never flowed anything but premium. --garrett tb04 turbocharger --chipped ecu running 20psi. will provide all software for tuning if you have something that can reburn m87c256 chips. was tinkering with 24psi max boost and 2 stage boost control linked to speedo, but you could link it to just about anything you wanted to with as many stages as you wanted. btw, at our altitude 20psi on 154.5ci equals conservatively about 365ci at 15.5:1 compression ratio. --spec HD pressure plate and 4 puck ceramic clutch. stock clutch rated for 225hp cried for its mommy at 15psi. --koni adjustable struts and gabriel rear shocks. I won't lie, $1500 in suspension and it still corners like a minivan. but a newish minivan! --95 model K frame to get better suspension geometry in steering and largest swaybar I could FIND. with fresh moog bushings on the swaybar of course. --jeep cherokee swaybar in rear attached to class 1 hitch. I towed a 2500lb uhaul auto transport with no problem. this story also involves picking a fight with a tiburon and a mini cooper WHILE towing the trailer and hauling two fat guys. the cooper beat me, but I was 7000lbs combined weight then. the tiburon was probably the 4 cylinder and I smoked his silly ass. --kenwood ez500 cd player, includes clicker and 6x9 speakers in the back. there are tweeters as well, and the previous owner told me there was a crossover box or something. --new process a523 transmission 3.77 final drive. booger bushings for shifter cables. stock shifter boot and mount for minivans. yes yes they did actually come that way sometimes. --adjustable transmission mount. replaces stock shock absorber in the back. --2.5" exhaust w/magnaflow muffler. makes a low humming noise, very loud at full throttle. --motorized hoodscoop. think air grabber, but made with a headlight motor. --cryo 2 sprayer for intercooler. wired to the little red button on the shifter. it should be a law that all shifters need little red buttons. --custom battbox mounted between front seats. 1100ca? no problem. --all seats and interior still there. this thing was my daily driver for a few years. light gray in color, cloth, no tears. --new headliner with a bit of smudging. --a/c system with r134 condenser coil. if you keep the throttle down, on max it will fog the windshield. --if you drive it like miss daisy it'll do 26 miles per gallon. the little van is a 4 cylinder after all. if you drive it like you stole it it'll do 26 gallons per mile. its a very ANGRY 4 cylinder. floor it for 10+ seconds and the 18 gallon gas gauge will move. --aftermarket front springs I found in the junkyard. lowered the front by a few inches. it looks as predatory as an old minivan can, and the angle adds downforce at speed. --custom painted rims. black with bare aluminum edges. --tinted windows, receipt is in glove box --power locks, mirrors, and vent windows. The Bad --hood has flexed around the fancy bondo I used to make the hoodscoop look smooth and pretty. there is some rust underneath it but nothing has cracked completely off yet. I'm including another hood with the van. I was planning on going to a fixed hoodscoop and backward facing vents over the engine to reduce heat and air pressure. at 100+mph it gets a little unsteady. --I missed a spot of rust on the rear wheel well. I'm including whats left of the paint I used to paint the thing ($400 for paint is crazy) --not enough wet sanding was done and theres a bit of fisheye. also I suck at wax jobs and the wax is coming off. if you want to pick up chicks (it attracts milfs) wetsand it and wax it correctly. --turbo was rebuilt a few years ago, but I fear poorly. it doesn't smoke, but you can feel some play. --stains on carpet. I'm happy to steam clean it, but I'm a mechanic and stuff happens. --cd player buttons sometimes stick. I spilled something on it. works fine, I use the clicker not just because I'm lazy. I poured over 6 grand into this thing and it goes like stink. I've decided to sell it because its a little quirky to drive and I'm getting in trouble. out of boost you can do 60mph and be happy. go into boost however and you're doing 90 before you know it. cops don't like that. the innate stealth of a minivan only goes so far. the speedometer reads to 125mph, and I can attest that it really does read to 125mph. it will run down a camaro z28 and do all kinds of silly immature things that minivans aren't supposed to do. your wife wants you to give up the muscle car and buy a van? bingo. your husband worries that a kia sedona is embarassing? he's right and if you're honest with yourself your sister looks middle aged in hers. I will take check in hand at pick-up and check must be made out to me and cleared, or cash when picked up, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! I will have the title ready to go when you arrive!!
