Vehicle Detail

1965 BUICK SPORT WAGON: You are looking at perhaps the most desireable of all SPORT WAGONs!! This classic Buick sports the original Wildcat 300ci V8, 4 bbl, 335 ft lbs torque....automatic, A/C, power windows, power rear window, power steering, Original AM radio. New power brakes rebuild. Dual exhaust. Decent original interior. No rot or discoloration in the ORIGINAL HEADLINER...AND it has factory rear seat visors!!! The seats are excellent with no tears or holes! The power options operate effortlessly including all power window and the power rear gate window! New power brakes system. All the factory original A/C components are intact, but it needs a recharge. Factory AM Radio. Chrome bumpers show some 47 y/o dings and little dentages here'n there. The 2nd owner explained this car was purchased new in California in 1965 and remained there for many years... his 'son' worked as a Certified Buick Mechanic and had the car stripped of all trim, and the originally CREAM (code Y) wagon was painted FIRE RED by Buick body shop professionals! DUE TO the car being garage kept and well protected all these years, the paint still has a nice shine, but shows thinning spots and there are some typical chips and minor dings. The roof glass & body surrounding panels are NOT typically all rusted out as I have been told MOST ARE! There are some spots that are just now starting to blister, but the channels are for the most part, unusually dry and rust free! (thus no water spotting stains in the headliner). Passenger side TOP glass has a crack in the rearmost lower corner but does NOT show signs of leakage. ALL the GLASS ie: roof glass, side glass and rear window has been titanium film tinted to further protect the interior from drying out and/or sun damage. The floors, trunk floor and floor pans were obviously dealer Ziebart protected long ago and you can still see signs of this original dealer applied coating! The typical quarter panels have no rust AT ALL! Nor do the fender dogleg areas. The only real noteworthy rust is at the bottom of the rear passenger doors where slight rust issues are visble, and some small blistering at the lower windshield area but the rear gate door, which I have been told it usually a MESS OF RUST, . . .has no serious rust signs anywhere. Again, the result of a dry garage kept vehicle. Some non thinking individual tryied to lift the car with a floor jack at the spare tire wheel well ?? and crunched it, otherwise, no real rust there either! SUMMARY: This car is a very solid 116,000 original mile vehicle. (fyi: in Feb 06, I have paperwork showing 114,852 miles.) SO,. . this is NOT a show car, but a very sweet driver that I would drive to Flint and back, with no worries. It starts up right away, it runs excellent, non smoker, shifts nice & smooth and stops very well. The tires are older and a little hard, and altho they have very good tread, they should be replaced. Other than that, you can get in and drive this car to the local A&W on saturday night and turn heads! This is a pretty sharp looking old Classic and desirable 1965 Buick Sport Wagon! I have done my best to describe this car in honest descriptive detail, however, I strongly URGE you to send someone to crawl all over this Wagon for your own piece of mind...OR if you want to see a specific area in particular, please explain what you would like to see! Ya see, I have 100% positive feedback and I intend to keep it that way. So feel confident knowing I am here to make your buying experience a happy one so we can all feel we got a great deal! In fact, if you read my feedback, you will see I have sold quite a few Classics in my eBay years, and I can assist helping YOU with shipping arrangements and/or transportation suggestions if so desired. I am NOT interested in trades, so please dont ask. I have a very reasonable reserve. ..and an even better BIN price! DONT WAIT too long! Thank You for looking.
