Vehicle Detail
1927 FORD ROADSTER/HOT ROD/REPLICA BRILLANT BLACK PAINT 0NLY 314 MILES SINCE IT WAS BUILT CHEVROLET 350 CUBIC INCH ENGINE TURBO 350 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VIN MVIN2376531ND HISTORY: I am a car restorer, but I did not restore this car. I'm 65 years old and have found that I can buy nice cars, check them out, fix a few things and sell them cheaper than I can restore them for. Thats the case on this Hot Rod, it was painted flat black, had ugly seat covers and no door panels. We pulled the body off the frame, painted the body PPG clear/base black, repainted the frame, put new seat covers and improved a few little things. The car was built in Indiana and went to a dealer/restorer friend of mine in Ohio. TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand, the car is titled as a 1927 Ford, not a replica. IT IS TITLED AS A 1927 FORD-MODEL MOD-BODY TYPE CN, built car titles in Indiana say self assembled rebuilt salvage!!! PLEASE HEAR THIS!!!!!!!! 1927 Roadsters are small in side, its the way they were built and when you channel for a Hot Rod its a little closer. You 6 foot 5 inch guys will have a hard time getting in it, its just not mine, it will be most all of them. If your above 6'1" or fat you will have a problem. Us guys that are smaller still fit like a glove, but I like it. The trunk does not open, the fuel cell is in that area, the drivers door opens, the passengers side door does not open, thats the way the body company built it. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No real rust problems, the body is fiber-glass and frame is newly painted steel. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a vehicle I like and can sell for a fair market price, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint is nice, no cracks, no chips and it is very straight. The paint is PPG base/clear and we buffed to a high gloss. CHROME: What little there is is nice. INTEROR: New seat covers and door panels. UNSERSIDE: Nice. GLASS: The windshield is good, no side windows. No Top!!!!!! SOUND SYSTEM: Roll the window down and hear the engine purr. AIR CONDITIONING: You have to let the wind do the job. ENGINE: The engine is a rebuilt Chevrolet 350 cubic inch, its a 4 bolt main and is a 1969 casting code and it runs strong. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Chrome headers and hot rod side exhaust, it does have baffles in the side pipes and they sound good. The chrome is good with some bluing on the pipes near the engine. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed Chevrolet Turbo 350 that shifts good. REAR-END: 10 bolt Chevrolet with no whines or growls. BRAKES: Disc on the front and drums in the rear. STEERING: The steering linkage is good, the car drives good, well by good I mean good is for what it is. The steering box looks like a Vega to me. WHEELS AND TIRES : Tires are Mickey Thompson on the rear,Hoosier on the front and the wheels look like Weld. You do feel the rear tires, lots of tire and not much weight in this car. LIGHTS and wiring: The head lights work, the tail lights workhe brake lights work. HORN WORKs! ! THE GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDMETER WORKS! TACH WORKS ALL THE GAUGES WORK. HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO! Faster than you have nerve to drive it. . GUAGES: They work. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? They open and close good, Model A Fords hang over on the rear! TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just too hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the vehicle, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell telephone number is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville and 50 miles north of Chattanooga. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee “I am truly qualified to be called a Hill Billy”. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 40. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! US OR EXPORT “I like Nations Auto Transport. They are located in Kansas City. Contact: Bill Cunninghan telephone: cell 816-337-1951 email: bcunninghan@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take paypal for the deposit, but not for full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. And its safe for both of us. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit you’re just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! BOTTOM LINE: I am asking $16,800 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My buy now price is good and I will not tell my reserve price if you don't bid or come look at the car. WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com I am very careful about taking payment, I have had a fake certified check, it looked real and the buyer seemed real. I will take one, but I will check you out. I am ebay varified, that means you can buy ebays buyer protection plan and they will guarantee thats I'm real, they will not guarantee the car.
