Vehicle Detail
Great car, plenty of power, pretty rare. I say its rare because its an 89 turbo. there were only 210 exported to US. meaning theres probly 100-150 still around. There were 270,144 z31s exported to US total. Other sought after z31s are the 1984 50th anniversary edition & the 1988 Shiro Special. 84' 50th anniversary's exported=5,148 88' Shiro Specials exported= 1,002 although 89t's arent a 'special' edition they have larger brakes than any other year/trim and are by far the rarest z31 model. Although Shiro Specials are more sought after, the only differences between the two are- Leather seats, Electronic dash, Different types of LSD, and color. (I prefer Clutch type over Viscous LSD, more predictable) -Clean Title -3.0 liter turbo V6 -5spd Manual -147,026 Original Miles -oil always changed every 2k -2.5 inch catback exhaust -Factory Clutch-type LSD rebuilt 3k ago -new distributor, alternator, and battery 2k ago -new clutch master & slave cylinder 2-3k ago -all new brake rotors & rear pads 1k ago -timing belt replaced 6k ago -always garaged -NO Rust -starts right up every time, never left me stranded.. not something that can be said about most 23yr old japanese sports cars -black leather interior -electronic adjustable side mirrors with elecronic defrost -adjustable suspension from drivers seat -a rediculous amount of power options.. just look up stock 89 z31 packages if you want to know everything my car is a GLL everyhing works The bad: -factory suspension is worn out -looks like the hood was left unlatched while driving & slammed into windshield. theres indents on each side suggesting it hit something flat pretty hard. the hood still latches, just sticks out a little -missing the drivers side front hubcap... some idiot lost it while doing my brakes. I got lazy, should have done it myself. -small spot on the hood where the paint is peeling about an inch in diameter -small paint scuff on drivers side of bumper, no damage.. just a little white paint. Also, this is not a kid drift car.. if thats what your looking for get a 240, cressida, or old FB/FC rx7. Not to say it can't be built into a drift car, it's easy as hell to make power with. it's just not a good car to thrash.. its more of a grand tourer than a true sports car
