Vehicle Detail

Selling my pride and joy! 1997 DODGE RAM 3500 DUALLY EXTENDED CAB REAR WHEEL DRIVE 12 VALVE CUMMINS DEISEL! ONLY 98K MILES. The 12 valve cummins engine's are well known for being bulletproof and will easily get over a million miles and more on them ! This is by far the nicest Dodge Ram Dually with a 12 valve Cummins you will ever find. BEST AND LAST YEAR OF THE 12 VALVE DODGE RAMS!! Including what I bought the truck for, I have over $25,000.00 into this truck, and most work was done over the past year! I bought the truck about 6 years ago from Arkansas as a super clean and well maintained rust free truck with very low mileage from an older gentleman. He only used it to tow his camper twice a year and that was it. There is obviously no snow in Arkansas and Since then the truck as well has never seen snow or salt! I bought the truck with the intentions of completely restoring it to better than new condition ,wich I have done and more so. Almost everything was done within the last year. Here is just an idea . . . -New Electric blue paint job, gravel guard on lower half -6 new cooper 10 ply tires (Have about 500 miles on them tops!) - new K&N cold air intake -new manual shut down conversion (you can take keys out of ignition and leave truck running) Just pull a t handle lever on dash to shut engine off. (Like the big rigs have) -Spray in bedliner -Rubber bed and tailgate mat -- All new body moldings - New door weather stripping -New Truxedo bed cover - new wheel simulators - new chrome door and tailgate handles - new side steps -new front ball joints -new front and rear shocks -New front and rear bumpers -new grille -new headlights -new hood sun visor -new hood scoops -new custom headlinder with ram head -new chrome exhaust tip -new serpentine belt -new idler pulley -new alternator about 2 years ago -New dash cover . Old one was sun faded, and yes it has a NEW NY state vin number since I went through the headache of changing it legally. I did not want to risk removing the old vin tag and getting caught. The new vin is a NY state yellow sticker now on door jam. Yes it has a perfectly clean NY title. The list can go on and on what I put into this truck. The truck is just about perfect. The only thing ,wich was next on my list was to make her perfect is the interior. It is clean but has stains on carpet and a few cigarette burns.Driver's seat has a slight rip in side but not bad at all. I do have a mint back seat I bought for it that goes with it . The custom headliner and new dash cover is as far as I got on the interior. It still looks nice inside though, but not as nice as the exterior. I am real picky and meticulous so most people would probably leave it alone. This has been the best truck I have ever owned. Before restoring it 2 years ago My wife and I drove it to California on a cross country trip and back and it did not give us a bit of problems. It has never let me down! As I said the truck was never in the snow or salt so there is no rust anywhere and there was none before it was painted. You can eat off the undercarriage! Still has the factory paint and chalk lines. The truck was always meticulously maintained mechanically and cosmetically. The truck when not in use is parked in my driveway under a cover. It was never really used as a truck except to bring some garbage to the dump every now and then and go to Home Depot once in a while. I even take it to car shows and it gets tons of attention. I just changed the, oil, filter, fuel filter, differential oil, and cleaned the k&n air filter last week. So if you are buying it from out of state she is ready to go anywhere. I have been using amsoil oil in it since I got it and the previous owner did as well. It even has Amsoil rear differential fluid. The truck runs and drives like a brand new truck, no noises, no rattles or clunks, no shakes, no oil leaks, does not burn a drop of oil, Only has 98k!!!! Very very rare to find one with this few miles. There is really not much to say. You won't find a nicer one. It is killing me to sell it but I have a house to finish renovating and my daughter needs the room to play. This is one of many toys I am selling. I know I am going to really regret it and will never see my money back I put into it, but maybe someone else can enjoy it. I am open to partial trades for a clean rust free Mopar A, B or E body, 80S Camaro, 70s,80s Trans Am,or Firebird, T bucket, 4x4 Dodge Van with no windows cut into body,VW Bus, Travel trailer, small motorhome, VW or Harley Trike, Let me know what else you have. VIN NUMBER IS NY- 70971 . I had to put all zeros in the vin section on the top of the listing since ebay does not have state issued vin numbers in their system and it does not recognise them since it is less than 17 digits . The title is a clean NY title, No leins, not salvage or rebuilt. It can be registered anywhere. PLEASE CALL IF INTERESTED OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. -PH# 203 948 0455 DOUG On Jun-04-12 at 11:38:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked a few questions about the truck,, The truck has a 8 foot bed. It has the LargeR Dana 80 rear.
