Don't recall brand and can't find receipt).18" Audi RS4 replica wheels with _______ tires. Engine:Custom tune with Q-Loader tuning box..205 injector nozzlesOMI race intake (EGR delete) *Currently uninstalled, but included.Snow Performance water/methanol injection system *Currently not hooked up, because it's plumbed into race pipe, which was removed for smog purposes.5 liter washer fluid tank upgrade.Muffler delete and aftermarket exhaust tip. Not too loud.Fattywagons SVO vegetable oil kit: includes custom made 14 gallon aluminum fuel tank, lines, switching solenoid, heated SVO filter, heated injector lines, dash mounted switch, 3 gauges- fuel level, temperature, and vacuum (shows when filter needs changing) custom mounted in dash with red LED's.Odyssey PC1700 battery (bought November 2007)Has been running on B20 biodiesel (20% bio, 80% regular diesel) Interior:EGT and turbo gauges mounted in 42 draft designs A-pillar pods.Audi TT style pedal covers and dead pedal.Dome light replaced with Passat W8 style, has red LEDs that gently shine down on center console.3 rear headrests included, not shown in pics (I removed them for rear visibility).Rubber VW "Monster Mats" in the front footwells.Stock AM/FM cassette stereo and speakers. Also included:Owners manual.New lower fog lights to replace broken one on car.New iPod cable to replace one with intermittent short.Stock spare tire included (removed from well to fit veg oil tank).Key for wheel locks.Factory plastic engine cover.Q Loader tuning box for changing computer tune if adding bigger turbo, injectors, etc. ******Now for the issues: please read carefully.****** Auto trans is slipping and shifts sloppily. VW mechanics say that these "lifetime" automatic transmissions usually last 75K to 100K, and this car has made it to 188,020. The transmission will need to be replaced. You can swap in another automatic, or make it bulletproof with a 5 or 6 speed conversion. Car is still drivable as is, trans just slips from startup and during gear shifts, worst when cold. Vegetable oil kit is not working right now: needs cracked fuel lines replaced. Car runs fine on stock fuel system. Car will not pass smog as is. New california law says that diesels 1998 and newer need to be smogged now. With the EGR delete (keeps intake from clogging with soot, a known TDI problem), this car won't pass smog. I tried taking off the race pipe and reinstalling the stock intake with EGR valve hooked up, but it still won't pass. If you live in CA, understand that this car won't pass smog and you will not be able to register it until it does. Registration is paid through April 2013, and I have a temporary registration sticker good until 6/16/2012. After that, CA DMV will not give extensions until it passes smog. Car is sold as is and buyer must understand that it is buyer's responsibility to get it to pass smog. If you live in a state that still doesn't require diesels to get smog checks (everywhere else?), you have no problem Check engine light is on. Code reads: Glow plug circuit. One of the glow plugs, or maybe the glow plug harness, is bad. Car starts and runs fine. These parts are cheap and easy to fix. I did it once before several years ago. Sunroof won't open. Tilts forward fine, but won't slide back. Shop says plastic parts in track are broken. Parts are cheap, but removing one piece molded headliner to get to the parts is time consuming. Labor is expensive. If you can do it yourself it won't cost much. Front tires have uneven wear on outside due to bad alignment. Should be replaced soon. Rear tires look great. All four rims have some curb rash. See pics. I guess I'm a bad parallel parker. Red LED in EGT gauge just started flashing off sometimes. Should be replaced with a new LED or bulb. Driver side headlight: small chrome reflector came loose. Light still works fine. See pics Some scratches on rear bumper from parking in San Francisco. Small stone chips on front bumper and hood. Front lower valance is cracked and scraped from driveways that are too steep. Passenger side has come loose a bit where it connects to upper valance at wheel well. See pics. Minor wear on drivers seat bolster, and some small rips on rear seat tops from folding down the rear seats. See pics. Title is clear and in hand. Please make sure you read the issues described above and understand them. I am moving and need to sell this car asap. This has been a great car and has a lot of potential for someone to fix the issues and enjoy it. If you can do the work yourself, this is a steal. If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, and would like to come see and drive the car, message me to set up a time to do so. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On May-28-12 at 14:18:24 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATES: Drove the car to work today and it broke down on the freeway. No boost, no power, black tailpipe smoke (unburnt fuel), engine sounds like it's running on 3 cylinders. Check engine light is off, no idiot lights came on, temp gauge reads 190 as normal. Tried shutting it off and restarting, but still the same issues. Had it towed home. Used the scan tool and it shows no error codes. Started it up and it seems to be running fine! Sounds like its running perfectly again, no smoke, turbo is spooling up. Drove it around the block with no problems. Very strange. I honestly don't know what to make of this, but I'm concerned now about the buyer's ability to drive it home. The last thing I want is for the buyer to get stranded on the way home. I'm glad this happened today and not the day after the new buyer gets it, because I have 100% positive eBay feedback, and good Karma in general, and want to keep it that way. So, I have to say that it may or may not be drivable now, and I don't know what caused that serious issue, or why it has fixed itself now. Sorry that that sounds so vague, but I'm not sure what to make of this. Please keep this in mind when bidding. A few other things I missed in my original description: Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, 225/40ZR18. I had left a blank space above to fill in later, and forgot to. As mentioned, fronts are wearing on outer edge, rears are perfect. Steering wheel in an OEM VW R32 wheel. Cost me a lot when I bought it, but it makes a huge difference in driving feel compared to the bigger, thinner stock Jetta wheel. Night and day. Also included in sale is an aftermarket rear wing for the trunk. It is unpainted and uninstalled, still wrapped in plastic. It is made just for MK4 Jettas, not a generic auto parts store wing. See pic below of the same wing on another car. A few interior issues I forgot: Some of the soft rubber coating on the door handle areas is peeling up, the glovebox door is partially broken (still opens and closes), and the armrest lid hinge is broken. These are common issues on MK4 VW's, unfortunately. Also, the carpet is a bit worn under the drivers side mat. The lower plastic engine cover (underside) is missing. To clarify on the registration / smog issue: Auction ends June 7, temp driving pass is good till June 16, so buyer has 9 days to pick up car and drive in CA, after that it would legally have to be towed. Registration expired 4/16/12, I paid in full through 4/16/13, but no stickers will be issued until smog is passed. I just want to be sure that I cover every little thing here so that the buyer knows exactly what he/she is getting. I want you to bid appropriately for what you feel it's worth and be happy with your purchase. Added some more photos: Engine compartment: Front valance damage and wheel curb rash: Worn spot on carpet: R32 steering wheel: Sample pic of rear wing: On Jun-03-12 at 09:17:04 PDT, seller added the following information: ****Latest Update**** Drove the car to work again yesterday and it ran just fine. No problems (other than the slipping transmission). I am bewildered by the seemingly catastrophic issue it had the other day, and equally as stumped as to why it seems perfectly fine now. I also dug up the rubber monster mats for the rear, as well as the whole set of cloth mats. I put them all in the trunk. I noticed that the knob is broken off the mirror adjuster switch, which I had forgotten in my description. I have a brand new switch from VW, which is included, but needs installation. Some people asked about the aftermarket switches in the dash: The black switch near the heated seat switches is for the vegetable oil kit. It switches from the stock tank to the SVO tank in the trunk, and back again. The red switch on the left below the headlight switch is to turn on/off the water/methanol injection system. In case it drains the whole washer fluid reservoir, you can shut it off so that it isn't trying to pump from an empty tank. I was also asked for a pic of the subwoofer in the trunk. I'll take that today and post it asap.On Jun-03-12 at 23:32:26 PDT, seller added the following information: More pics and info:Drove the car again today, and it drove fine again, but the glow plug check engine light did come back on. Pic below. Dug out some more parts and put them in the car: original dome light and headlight switch, new cabin filter, uninstalled "convenience turn signals" with installation instructions, brand new center grille piece for front valance. Forgot to mention that I changed out the driver and passenger "oh sh!t" handles for the New Beetle style sunglass holders. Pic below. Both original handles included in a box. Noticed that there is a defect starting in the rear window tint in the center. Pic below. Subwoofer mounted in driver's side of trunk where CD changer used to be (changed to iPod control). I removed the plastic door there and some of the carpet to fit this custom sub box. It is strapped in so that it is solid, but can be removed to carry large items in trunk, or to access rear tail light assembly. This small sub adds nice bottom end without being obnoxious, and doesn't take up much space. I cut the trunk floor carpet so that the main floor can still be lifted up to access SVO tank. You can see sub and cut in carpet in this pic. Pic of sunglass holder: Pic of rear window tint anomaly: Brand new convenience turn signal flasher. Flashes signal a few times then cancels automatically for a lane change with just a touch. Error code:
