Very responsibly driven rare manual transmission Mercedes Benz with lots of extras. Just passed state inspection with flying colors. Don't take my word for it, bring your mechanic if you'd like to! This car starts up and drives excellent and with no problems and has been a member of the family for almost five years now. As a young guy, this has always been a head turner and impressive vehicle for me in my career as a real estate broker to impress my clients and it paid for itself in two months! Recently replaced rear brakes, repaired and recharged A/C, and upgraded shifter knob. I bought it for $11,000 in 2007 and like most Mercedes owners put thousands in routine maintenance and repairs to get it to this stage now where it is 'settled in'. Ideal owner would just in my opinion be a longtime manual driver who wants a Reliable Mercedes but cannot find one. Or anyone looking for a Reliable Mercedes at a great price. I lived about 30 miles from work and that is where most of the mileage comes from: 6th gear on the highway. The problems this car has are mainly typical problems that the model experienced with a few extras you'll find in a car +10 years old:Steering Wheel wear this is how I bought it wasn't a big deal to me but buyer can cover it (email for photos)Bumper Rash (see photo below)High Mileage: 155k miles bought it at 89KHard to notice dings and surface scratches, two pea sized spots that may have rust (email for photos)Seat Controls work but have shorted so they have been unplugged In hot temperatures the display looks a bit faintThe (trunk) third brake light works perfect and looks great but was designed a bit poorly for the trunk and is crackedThe door was a victim of a 'Dent and Run' which I repaired and you will not be able to tell which door was in the accident unless you are a body expert!I have all the paperworkI am throwing in a full tank of gas, very, very hard to find 2001 Mercedes C-240 Chilton's Manual, Jumper Cables, cleaning supplies, almost every single service record and receipt since I bought the car!
