Vehicle Detail

The time has come to sell my beloved Scout II. I bought this Scout a couple years ago after months of searching. I then spent even more time piecing it back together and getting everything just right on it (at least what I thought was just right). Below is a list of what all has been done to this Scout but please feel free to ask any questions. This isn’t a Pebble Beach, Grade A restoration but it is the type of restoration that has taken the Scout back to a fun, reliable, head-turning weekend cruiser that you wouldn’t be afraid to drive. I know buying a vehicle over the Internet can be a little nerve racking so I don’t want the winning bidder to be disappointed when the Scout arrives (i can assure you wouldn’t be). Mechanical Improvements: · New fuel pump · New fuel lines · Rebuilt carburetor · New distributor and cap · New ignition regulator · New ignition coil · New alternator · New Valve Cover Gaskets · New Valley Pan Gaskets (this Scout doesn’t leak oil!) · New front brake calipers · New brake pads · New master cylinder · New brake booster · True dual Flowmaster exhaust · New fuel tank sending unit · New wiring from sending unit to gauge, but it still isn’t working. Might be able to fix this before vehicle is picked up. Interior Improvements: · Color matched dash & tranny cover w/ custom red & black pin striping · Herculiner from firewall to tailgate · New plastic glove box · Freshly painted gauges · Tuffy locking center console · Non-cracked dash pad · CD Player w/ auxiliary input · Two new Pioneer 6x9 rear speakers Exterior Improvements: · New floorboards · New rocker panels · Rusty fender lips were cut out and replaced with all new sheet metal Cosmetic Improvements: · Correct 1976 grill insert with good chrome · Correct 1976 headlight trim · Optional IH front push bar with fog lights (still have original bumper which will go with the vehicle & a couple boxes of spare parts) · Correct side marker lights with good chrome · Excellent, original badges all the way around. Good chrome and bright color · Brand new 4” Rough Country lift kit · Brand new 33x12.50 Federal Couragia Mud Terrains · Brand new 15x9 Pro Comp 1032 Polished Aluminum wheels · General Lee Dixie horn · BestTop Bikini Top (No hard top or full soft top but all the holes and bolts are still there if you wanted to install one) · Chrome differential covers Issues that could still be fixed: · New rear bumper, it’s a little bent on one corner · New tail cap where bent bumper dented it (it was like this when I bought it) · New wiring harness as some wires are just getting old · There is rust beginning in just a couple places but nothing major or unsightly. Especially considering these vehicles tendency to rust out. Again, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Good luck and happy bidding. Also, the Scout is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank you.
