There is no power steering on this vehicle - it is a pure, mid-engine, transaxle, rear wheel drive, two seat roadster for those who understand what driving is all about. It has a stiff, responsive ride with lots of power on tap as well as exceptional handling characteristics. The unibody design and stiff chassis make it preferable to the targa top variety and the newer MR2 Spyder, which have slightly inferior handling due to torsional wobble. It was purchased new in 1991 by my father, who had an earlier generation MR2 prior to this vehicle. He is a very detailed oriented man - every fill-up, every service appointment, every routine maintenance item is thoroughly documented. About a month ago he delivered the car to me to prepare for sale. I have been running the vehicle about twice a week, weather permitting and haven't gone through a tank of gas since he dropped it off. While I would like nothing more than to transfer the title to my name and sit on the car for another twenty years, I don't have the storage space and can't justify the insurance expenditures. The Toyota MR2 Turbo stands to be one of the few collectible cars from the 1990s era. This one has not been abused, has never changed hands, has never been raced or involved in a collision on the road. The most common comment that I receive when showing the vehicle to people is 'That's a '91??? You've got to be kidding me!' Buyer can arrange for local pickup or other shipping options.
