Vehicle Detail
BEING RE-LISTED BECAUSE WINNING BIDDER WAS AN OUT-OF-COUNTRY SCAM ARTIST TRYING TO RUIN IT FOR ALL OF US! Gorgeous little 1600 that is a blast to drive. Body was completely re-done approximately 10 years ago with a new convertible roof, seat covers and interior. After market CD player installed in custom made dash unit and center console. Front brakes re-done approximately 6,000 miles ago, new rear shoes put on less than 1000 miles ago - both strong. Tires and wheels are off of a Z-Car (Modern Wheels/Daytona Tires) - life on tires still has good tread (see pic). New convertible roof has been folded down maybe once and hardly ever sees the sun. Roof has been taken off and the Tonneau Cover snapped in place most every driving season during spring-summer-fall (if you drive fast enough in the rain you hardly notice). She does not do well in any form of snow and stays in the garage during winter. Recently tuned and the boys in the shop told me not to touch a thing - the linkage to both carbs is original and has seen better days. Temp gauge has always worked 100% of the time and she has never over heated while I have owned her. All instruments in the dash work fine - flashers, wipers, lights (high&low), turn signals (right indicator light not flashing in dash but all exterior lights work fine). There are electrical issues deep within the heart of this wonderful child. Recently the dash back lighting lights did not come up at night. I have added Lead to each tankful as I do not know if the engine was ever rebuilt with no-lead seats - but this is original engine as far as I know. Engine still very strong and four speed tranny shifts smoothly. There is a kink in the armor between first and second requiring an ever so slight delay in jumping off the line and shifting from 1st to 2nd. Like all 1600 she could use a 5th gear to play more with the 2000's. Damage to drivers side rear quarter panel - crumpled when pulling out of parking lot and catching the end of one monster-long Ford Excursion (see pics). Also caught the passenger side on a guardrail and she cannot hide the blemishes there (see pics). Front grill was fully stripped and chromed, all original decals and I did not install side rear-view mirrors for cosmetic reasons;. I took the washer fluid tank out (available with purchase) to make room for a new radiator hose and I have a brand-new water pump still in the box too. Available with the car is also a complete 1600 spare engine block that came with the car when I bought it in Missoula. Added photos of Tonneau Cover installed onto car - how she spent most of her time on the road. Top has been taken off and stored fully opened and protected indoors when not on car.
